How do I make it so my PC can detect my new VX787?
I'm running Windows 7, if that helps any.

hi and welcome

well windows 7 is certainly alot better than the vista and has been proven to work with these player

try using a USB port at the back of the PC if you are not doing so

what happens to the screen when you plug it in, does it go right to charging screen

yep, classic problem, a powered USB hub can fix this as can using the back USB ports or swap around also try a reboot of the machine and if you have access to an XP machine then test it on that to see if it is the cable that is the problem

cheers

I just restarted my computer like Manderin suggested. Windows detects it just fine now.
