right we ahve the main drive back and usually with these types of players it means that the player has lost its firmware partition
i have had this player for a month now (test version) with no probs and as this is so new we are just going to have to try a few recognised recovery methods
BTW did you safely disconnect or just pull out the cable???
oh, and i meant drives, my typo, sorry
anyway we need to establish if the partiton is actually dead, but i am afraid that if you need to use the recovery tools then i can not say if it will work in vista, many have reported not, vista in general with usb drives can be a massive pain, it does not handle them well
anyway see this that i mentioned in another post
-------------------------
right step 1, lets see if the firmware is still in the player
download this file
http://www.mp4nation.net/downloads/sflo/rkusb.tagcopy it to the main memory of the player
disconnect the player
reset it by poking the hole
now reattatch the player
if all is well you will see a new drive letter, in there will be the firmware folders called APPDATA, SYSTEM, RESOURCES etc etc
can you confirm this
if not then we have lost the firmware,as you can see the main memory i want you to try this recovery technique outlined here
you will need a copy of the firmware update file from here
viewtopic.php?f=45&t=8978and see the topic here, it mentions s:flo but just follow the first section about getting the player connected and in the second part run the recovery tool using the firmware located above link
viewtopic.php?f=43&t=8488let us know how it goes
