Green light always on?

I hadn't noticed it until yesterday but the green LED is still on whenever you turn the device off. It's really really really faint. The only reason I noticed it was because I was reading an Ebook before bed and after I turned it off I saw the green light on while my lights were off. The only time you can see it when the lights are on is when you cup your hands over the LED.

More importantly, what does this mean? Is the device technically still on or something? Is this where the battery leak is coming from? I ask because I remember this was how my old PDAs were. You could never actually turn them off but they would run at a low power state.

Same here, saw it in the dark when the MIDnite lay beside my bed. It's dim, but glowing, propably not visible in daylight. Too me that also means, something is draining the battery when switched off.

This has been my experience. The unit continues to slowly drain the battery when the power is off. If I take my unit with me on business trips, I remove the battery when I'm not using it.

If you remove the battery and then put it back in then the light will be off.
