hi

i have a few questions myself:

1. is there any chance (probability) that ainol V9000HDA to have PDF included.? And posibly HTML.

2. any 8GB v9000hda in the shop soon?

3. what is Ainol word in english language, does that mean something?

4. is there any why to contact AInol and ask them for specific firmware modifications, or sugest improvements.
I just think the music interface of the firmware is just bad(horrible), i mean you have a 5" screen, and you choose to display the music name in just a little rectangle with two big arrows left and right, placed like crap, i belive this is an obsesion with chinese players , they always display file name (music title) in a tiny square, no matter how big is the screen.

well, i like the whole design and how they made it, it is one of the best, but the music interface is just ugly, i dont like it at all, its like its made by children..

of course, i dont have one, and i might be wrong, but i dont think so.

HI

1. who knows, but as the player is based on same hardware and firmware as newer player with PDF support one would assume and update is imminent - BUT as we have learned - never try and second guess what these companies are going to do, even if its a "reliable source" as most of the times the companies dont know either

2. raz wil know

3. Ainol in English - mmm .. but its a name that gives us a right old giggle .. fnarr .. fnarr

4.yes, but dont expect any return on the invested time in emailing, considering we are now seeing this firmware and UI in other brand players would lead to suggest its not in fact Ainol who are in charge here -

Chinese media players have forever suffered bad UI implementation, especially in layout and accessibility of functions
Music player they are very successful at - successful that is in making the biggest pigs ear of it that has yet to be remedied - and never will

the things you mention are all over many players, take a look at the T51/sfo2, a dedicated audio HIFI power house, you would think that would have the best music system of all, NO, big fat NO, nothing, nothing at all is right in any way whatsoever in the music management/layout/implementation whatsoever, i do not know and will never understand how they do this, or even why

like you say, all that space and you get cramped filename/song names, tiny album art, crap organisation, you - like me are looking at it thinking HOW >>>WHY ... HOW .. WHAT - its has amazed me from day one, i believed things would change, they have not and while we see some improvement in rockhips of late, things are static and i cant see it changing

right - im done ranting once again .. i shall now leave and promptly bash my head upon a large brick wall, as i feel more will be achieved this way than ever getting the likes of ainol and teclast etc to see what a music interface and system should really be .

ouch ... ouch .. ouch .....

Ainol's name in English is....Ainol. In Chinese it's ??. which translates to Aino. Really don't know what it means though.

Preach!!!!

I was really interested in the S:flo2 just as a music player until I started reading the reviews. They were so close to making a kick ass music player. I really liked the specs on that unit. If they could just fix those files organiztions issues on a possible sflo3, it would be perfect.

forget the sflo3, they need to fix it on the sfl02, its only software related, unfortunately the programmers forgot the first thing they would have learned, how to create sinple organised lists!!!!!! - anyway, while its a pain the SQ of the player has proved a massive winner, so its a case of putting up with it, and many are doing so

Just a tip: Download a pdf to image software.

If you google it, you can find alot of software to use. I'm gonna use it when my Ainol player arrives because all mp4 player can read jpg and so you can convert all your pdf pages to single jpg files in a single folder.

Sometimes it seems like these companies Like Teclast, Ramos and Ainol don't fix all of the problems w/ current units w/ firmware updates. Either they ignore the problem or fix it in the new units.

But you are right. If they would just pay attention to all the problems that are reported by consumers and then put up a big fat upgrade on their website, it would make things a lot easier.

problem is, the T51 is not a big seller in china, sflo2 has more sales than teclast do - now, if they spent some time fixing it all up they could justify the higher price to the home markets, i hope to some god that they sort even the basics out, just to give is files in order and fast scrolling would be the most effective and basic of fixes for now

Sometimes I wish these chinese PMP companies would just improve on what they've already created. Honestly, my OS-72HR has been rock solid ever since I bought it, it's just the CC1600 UI that's really needs to be updated. I like the current Ainol's being sold in 2010. Each model just has a few quirks that keep it from being perfect. That's part of why it was so hard for me to finally decide on which Ainol PMP to buy.

I wish I could just mix and match what I like about Ainol, Teclast, Window and Gemei players, put a good English language UI on it and celebrate.

well, it is what it is, and organized mess ... and it aint gonna change anytime soon, hasn't for the last 4 years, in fact its gotten worse, we have better hardware, more reputable Chinese brand names but stuck in the "it will do" mentality that has plagued the industry for years - BUT they are still doing it, still selling and still producing, so if it works for them why should they change it for a few western whiners (thats me BTW) when we are not even their target market and not even in their sales plan...

anyway, just enjoy what we can, and grab a bargain because where else can we get 4,5,6, and 7" screen multi format players for these prices, we should be grateful for small mercies really
