very good player ..., but again: not touchscreen
WHY??????????????????????
But they will bring out to new players
maybe they are touch screen

I have bought the ramos t9 and now i have a new sort of screen protector that make the Ramos T9 more fluent for touchscreen.
I can recommend it, because the screen protector make it faster than i have thought

touchscreen is only good if implemented properly, otherwise a scroll wheel or a tactile strip navigation is both more practical and useful.

Love the fact that my VX545 is not touchscreen, my Mobile is and if you want to watch videos on it you constantly have to wipe the screen with a cloth, gets old really fast.

This is a very good idea, i just love scroll wheels, hope they implement it well :)

It could also be touchscreen AND scroll wheel, would be cool too!

just a snap of the new ramos player

Image

big news about this is the new 28 series chip from rockchip, now they are once again banding the BUZZ words around, them being H264 ... but. as with their T10 is this all fuss and nonsense as the T10 can play MKV etc etc but the audio tracks were not the norm, so it was only half way there

other news is that this player will have a wofson audio chip like the meizu SL and the s:flo

the cc1600 is powerful and supports more formats than Rockchip. My OS-43 for instance cannot play certain rmvb that my cc1600 can. Certain avi are also a no with my os-43. My cc1600 seems to play everything with exception of mkv and mp4. When a rockchip does play a file, it is just not smooth enough for my liking. I prefer packed bitstreams :) At least there is a fix for that. Rockchip is all hype, but low performance.

i starting to get more curious why RAmos always tends to use Rockchip and they always seem to be the first company to have the latest rockchip chipset and almost always the first to have it implemented in a particular way (i.e. touch screen with the T8 and T9).

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

No wonder I don't own any Ramos players. Even though people seem to like them, I have never been too enthusiastic because they use Rockchip mainly. I don't know what they did to that DaVinci chip set. The Ramos T10 really sucks.

well you are technically comparing two different generations of chips, in fairness the comparison would be RK2706/08 vs Ingenic JZ4732 chip

and this match up should be RK2806 vs CC1600 vs Sochip(and whatever rebrand it goes by)

I am an Ingenics kind of guy. Given that the VX767 used the JZ4740, I would have compared the JZ4740 with the RK2706/2708. The JZ4740 is pretty darn good. Even though it is underpowered, it plays movies smoothly at 480x272. I am still unhappy with the video playback of RK2706/RK2708 players. Maybe my video converter is at fault, but my VX767 plays AVI, WMV, MPEG, ASF, RMVB, FLV very smoothly.
