Raz is there any way you could set up a master list of specs for these players on one page. Just something that lists key elements like screen rez, size, expansion slot, battery life. I have been researching all night and just when I think I hit the right player a I find a dealbreaker in one of the forums. Example

Ainol V3000 - Looked perfect, great battery screen and memory....but mini sd max 8gb. All my cards are micro sd...doh

Ramos T8 - Fantastic design, very sleek with nice firmware but short battery

Onda V767 - Bit chunky but looks like battery life is the winner

I guess its all part of the buying process but if you have been away from the mp4 player scene for a while its very confusing with so many similar looking machines. I nearly gave up and ordered a Sony from Amazon but I reckon the Onda has the features I need. If you set up a graph one very important info for non techies is will the player play unconverted average 700 meg torrent sourced xvids.

:? :
I have the T8 and it last a lot longer then my vx777.

Though...the vx767 has the biggest battery out of ALL the players that I know of.

Battery life will also depend on the conversion used in video's and if listening to MP3's if you shut the screen off.

Thanks for the info on the ramos. I will be looking to play 128kbs xvids. What battery life are you getting out of your player? That onda claimed 10 hour life is a real killer feature but I have seen so many of these claims that turned out false. I trust raz and these forums for real life performance so can believe that 3000mah gives 8-10 hours. I guess that's my real buying decision done. I don't really want hd or touch screen just long battery life.

Onda 767 has 3000mAh batter and it can provide 10 hrs battery life. OS-43 has 1800mAh battery provides 8 hrs life. Too good to believe on OS43 stated battery life

the os43 can live up to that claim as i have tested this, but battery is affected by many things so you have to take it give or take an hour

also i think the 767 has a 16 million color screen(?) so this would eat up more battery power

wow Kenbo, thanks for doing this, would it ok if i sticky this for awhile, just for others to see and use.

The cross reference on the players on our site is a good idea and it is something that has crossed my mind a couple of time, but it would require for Zen Cart (our shopping cart system) some heavy modding and i don't have those skills, nor do i know where to source such skill from either (let alone if its even possible on zen cart).
