@DX one fellow claimed that one of the fluids they sell does not leave streaks when cleaned with a micro cloth. He didn't know if it contained alcohol or not.

Is plain isopropyl alcohol ok or what I should I be looking for?

Thanks!

Any other opinions?

Isopropyl alcohol can also be used to clean LCDs without the worry of damaging the anti-glare coating on a LCD. The only caution though is that you do not use this option regularly. However, from time to time you may need to remove that stubborn oily fingerprint or marks that just seem to not want to come of the screen.

from your link

If you don't want to do that, just use water. But i find that IPA works really well because it evaporates really fast and doesn't leave streaks.

I think what would work better is if you dilute the IPA solution in water. Maybe a 50/50 solution or 75 water/25 alcohol would work better. May do less harm then if the IPA was used alone.

IPA comes in different concentration levels. But sure you could do that but be sure to use distilled water and not tap water.

Why? Some joke about why he would need to clean his screen alot of times?

but really, diluted IPA does work well, I use 1 part 70% IPA and 1 part distilled water.

good ole spit

haha, just joking

i use normal lens cleaner that you can get an many optical stores, works like a charm, what i have found to be more important is the type of cloth you use, using a bad or over used cloth can cause more streaks.
