sunplus have never really been that good, too many things trying to be implemented at once so it had a bad rep as being unreliable, but this new one is meant to be super ace but so far only JXD have remained loyal with everyone else really sticking to tried and tested rockchips

Poor Sunplus, somehow i am sure it is not their chip fault but the solution company that is making the design with their chip that is ruining their image.

always the same, great possibilities in hardware, let down by firmware, this has got to get turned around soon, they cant carry on like this, people like you chris and raz need to shout louder, some of these firmwares are just a joke at the moment, they add new stuff and break others ... really is getting annoying now

That would be awesome. A custom chipset, i can't wait to see the player release and see a video review from you. Would love to see those HD videos flash on that trendy high class LTPS screen. If they are using a new chipset then i am sure they would have solved the current snag with the V3000. So we can experience some top class HD experience soon or later.

I hope they release them soon and we find these in our stores.

Thanks.

I doubt it's a custom player made for them.Maybe it's just one new chip that will become a trend soon.
This has been used by gemei on a similar announced player.
The information on the chip hasn't been released anywhere yet.

well from what i got from my chinese mates who bought the V3000HD which is just out now in china, the new chip used for it will be made from Shenzhen Chinachip technology ( the founders of .rmvb ) for Ainol only. They said that the chip's logo will just be given some unofficial identification to entice other companies to buy them if it gets really popular. :)

btw review for the player is out but it is in chinese

Nice video player and looks like you can get one in China for less than $100; not too shabby.

I seen another site has this in stock but they saying it uses RK2708 chipset.

I wanna see this tested running a 720p video as I have serious doubts now. I not gonna order till I seen some reviews from people who have seen 720p videos running on the player.

all tnhey have done is copied and pasted info from the v3000 specs, i would wait for confirmation first and just because its on sale does not mean its any good, wait for a proper review and see what its all about first
