I was emailed on Saturday a lot of new images of the M70 from Chuwi, its their first pictures of their M70, the monster MP4 player is confirmed to be using a LG made screen capable of support 800 x 480 screen resolution, this would be the first MP4 player to have such a large screen and high resolution combination. Although the Ainol V3000 was the first to have a high resolution screen, its 4.3? screen is dwarfed by this 7.0? screen.

Now its easy to debate if this should be still considered a portable media player, 7.0? of video mayhem may not be the easiest thing to lug around, in fact, they could double as a mini screen for your desk. It may be a bit strange for people to take this out on a bus or plane, it would be like whipping out a small TV and it would probably only conveniently fit into a clowns pant pockets.

Looking past this players size, the overall design is simple, quite similar to the V3000, even the button layout. There isn’t much more info yet on what particular hardware this player would be running on, i do hope its not the RK2708 chip, although the chip is quite good it still can’t really handle videos at 800×480 resolution, meaning you could never really fully utilize the screen whilst watching videos. However there is a new chip on the market, the V3000HD won’t be using a Rockchip and mjaybe this won’t either. Speculation is that the new V3000HD will be using the new Sunplus 8000 chip, which can handle 800×480 res videos very well (and infact handle well even higher res videos than that), maybe we could see the Sunplus 8000 also in this monster.

Well, I think it looks quite pretty.

I can't really get down on it's "portability" as I can find many ways to carry this thing around (jacket pockets, computer bag pockets, etc.). Anyway, I'd love to see some more specs on it. Can't wait to see what kind of processor its sportin'. And the sound quality, of course.

Raz, I would love it if you could get your hands on a sample of this one and see how it runs.

I love how the player looks. I like players with no buttons at all, near the screen or on it. But, just pure touch screen.

Wow, that screen is big. Reminds me of life777's signature ;) .

I think it's fantastic that the Ainol V3000SE is still continuing the 3000 saga rather than jumping straight ahead to the V4000 (if there is going to be one). I doubt Chewi is going to use any extraordinary hardware but I would say, "Expect this to use a good chip > :) ."

Yeah listening to raz say "chuwiiiiiiii" was my favorite and the most memorable part of his vid review for that first chuwi player.
I would be very interested to see this thing in action, with such a large screen size it has the potentialto be a fantastic player for the car or a long airplane flight as an alternative to a laptop.
As long it has decent battery life and can actually play the high res vids I think this could be sucessful

And life777 TI has already dropped a lot of hints , but I say it again please shrink your sig

Well on Chuwis produc spec that they sent me today, they state its a Rockchip based device, but make no mention of which model, but i suspect that its the RK2708. Infact looking at the player, some new images of the UI and stuff, i think they bought the plans from the sames guys that made the plans for the V3000, except the Chuwi guys slapped a 7.0" screen.

Shame the player will be under utilized, but still i think people would like this a lot, i am looking into this, i have been wanting to carry a Chuwi player for sometime, the T8 was a big let down, hope this isn't the same when i get a sample.
