Hi! I`m new to this forum but I got an onda vx787. Firmware is 1.8 + the translation by seasprite. Should the player show divx files(movies) ? It`s showing avi, mpeg, flv+other which I tryed but not the divx, is there a problem or not?

probably not files with a DivX extension, say mivie.divx, but it does with AVI files created with divx codec

but try this, rename the divx file like so:-

moviefile.divx --> moviefile.avi

and se if that works, it worked on the divx files i had

welcome to the forum

I tryed with that but I can`t rename it. The movie is converted from avi to divx with a divx program and stupid me to leave the movies in the "document an settings" because the computer broke down and when I got it back all was erased. I have tryed search on the net for a program to convert back from divx to avi but havent found one yet. There are many programs that promises to convert divx to avi but none of those could do the trick.

are you using XP? Unless you have a setting on XP not to let you change file extentions or have the file on read only, you should be fine for changing the file extension

and i know players carrying the latest Rockchip firmwares can definately play *.divx files, i am pretty sure that the VX787 should be able to play files with this file extension also without needing for them to be renamed to avi. It could be that the file you have might have something wrong with.

go to folder options view and click where it says hid file extensions then change avi to divx no converting needed and should work seeing as they are practically the same files. * but only do this to avi - divx any other movie format will not work
