Any one have the player? I read in a Chinese forum that there are some problems with the video playback. The audio after few minutes goes out of sync.

i think thats the problem with the rockchip, its fixable if you play around the video conversion.

All rockchip players that currently use the R2608A chip will play the video find, but almost ever 5 - 8mins will loose lipsync for about 30secs before it goes back to normal.

If you reduce the quality of the video (say from 24fps to 20fps), then you will see this lip sync problem much less.

Again I hate to oversell this. But, on my Oppo Rockchip player I watch FLV video alot. I watch a lot of hour long documentaries from the BBC, and I have converted 3 films (TMNT, Spinal Tap, The Mummy Returns) each around 1.5-2hours long, and the audio is always in sync with no issues.

I do not want to keep jumping in with this same statement, but with rockchip players its all about the conversion. I would suggest that people dumb down the audio to mono and low bitrate when watching video. This can do wonders for your video experience.

good point ox

what i said was for xvid files, i forgot about FLV, FLV files don't tend to have the same lip sync issues.

I think for MP4 players, we are going to see xvid becoming less of a popular file format and files like FLV will take over. However the best file format right now for MP4 Players is RMVB, you can have that puppy on a high resolution and have no laggyness or lip sync issues.

I really need to find a good conversion program for RMVB for all of you to use.

So seems to be problem with the settings used for the conversion and not with the player. I have a VX878 and I use VidDrop to converted to avi and never have problem.. About the FLV support anybody know the performance is as good as the Oppo V9? The VX878 plays flv but skipping...

Its not in the Betty anymore. That reminds me that I need to make my "Betty edition" Picture.

I'm trying to wait for the 27xx players but this looks like it could be the ultimate 2608 player. Really nice non-ugly GUI, big screen, and I assume having only three touch buttons means important things like volume and maybe play/pause are available as hard buttons? That would be great. How about a video review?
