PLEASE REMEMBER THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF THE S:FLO, IF YOU HAVE A PLAYER WITH V1.07 FIRMWARE OR TECLAST V2.0 - YOU CAN'T USE THIS FIRMWARE.

IF YOU HAVE A FIRMWARE WITH V1.01 THEN YOU CAN UPDATE TO THE BELOW LATEST VERSION.

NOTE: This firmware will only work with players that came with V1.01 firmware. Please do not use this firmware if you have V1.07 firmware or the newer Teclast V2.0 firmware loaded - a compatible firmware for your players will be available shortly.
if the back of your player looks like this then you can use this update,if not then DO NOT UPDATE
Image
Please note this firmware only fixes some minor issues and adds additional video format support.

Download V1.03 Firmware
Download rkusb.tag

How to update:

Connect your SFLO to your PC, you will need to access your firmware partition and you may need a small pin to use in the reset hole located on the side of your player. If you do not have access to your firmware partition, then download the rkusb.tag from here, copy it to your player, disconnect from the pc and reset your player.

Connect the player back to the PC and after the player turns back on, you will have two drives, one which contains your music, the other which contains your firmware files. On the partition that has your firmware files, delete all the files (you can also format this drive if you want). DO NOT DISCONNECT YOUR PLAYER YET

Extract the files from the firmware download file, copy all the contents from the folder output to the S:Flos firmware partition. Once done you can delete the rkusb.tag file if you want. Disconnect your player from your PC safely, turn it off and then turn it on and you will be done.

Not sure, you will need to check it when you get it.

Thanks, I'll keep my fingers crossed. I'm hoping for the full Nationite treatment.

Really want to update but don't want to lose the Simply Blue theme by Maderin1. :|
Is it an update for stability or functionality? Maybe sort out my radio station storing problem.

Wohooo! Can't wait for the update for 2.0 users! So anybody tried this update? Are there any new features or just removed bugs and smoother transitions?

Thanks Raz! I just did the update and it works. One thing I noticed is that the ID3 tags are now better. You do not have to press 10 seconds to show all songs when you select Genre, albums, etc.

Another thing. The first time I update, and I am sure I followed all the instructions. I received an error when playing MP3's. It says "File format Error". Any song I play says this error.

What I did was do everything again. Except when I put the NEW firmware, I did not shutdown immediately. I pressed the "Music" first, then it start to update the music list and then finally I turned it off. When I turned it ON again, it was perfect!

I'll have to keep my eye on this thread to see how things work out... I may update by the end of the week.
