I've had problems with people who have Office for Vista. They have to specifically remember to save their Office documents in the right format or people with more widely-used older versions of Office can't read them. It's a real pain.

vista is more system intensive requiring more hd space, more ram, and more processor power...

all games even those built for directx10 run faster and smoother on xp

hell halo2 runs better on xp using a xp widget than it does on vista..

even ms admits vista does not perform as expected..

perhaps sp1 will help but for right now not much reason to run vista

All people think new Windows Suck. When XP came out all I heard was that XP Sucks 98 is so much better. Microsoft lost it because XP sucks and 98 is the best.

This should answer your question.

Basically ask this question again in 2 years and you will get a completely different answer.

I guess it's all about persepective given through time, ain't it, Ox?!

BTW, did you ever get a chance to come up with that logo? I know, I know, I really don't want to seem pushy or ungrateful (or any other nasty adjective you could think of), I'm just really looking forward to yours, especially after the avatar you cooked up for me!

As many has said, a new OS(Vista) has a very comparable situation to that of new MP4 Players.

When both comes out anew, bugs, and problems are bound to happen.
But as each respective company releases updates,
the problems are solved, and each to his own, runs much more smoothly.

Thats Office 2007, that has nothing to do with Vista.

Just uninstall Office and go download OpenOffice

its much better, better support, frequent updates, it works on Vista, and most of all, ITS FREE 8)

Great solution, only try convincing people to actually do it.

Open Office is awesome. I use it at home and can freely send OO documents/spreadsheets to and from work, where we use Microsoft Office. I can also save any OO word processor document as a .doc too. I didn't expect OO to have such fantastic interoperability with other office suites.

Yes, Vista sucks.. My friend and I tried to get a USB mixer for his Vista machine and nothing was supported in the 64 bit version of Vista.

Plus, it eats up too much RAM. And DirectX 10 is overrated.

But other than hardware and programs not working and the product overall not living up to the hype, its a reasonable product.

I guess the votes turned out this way because ppl want to use vista to upload music or video on their devices. As a college student who mainly uses it for school purposes I haven't had a problem with vista. Its better than the stuff my college use and I go to a four year private school.
