I noticed in one of the entries in the forum, it states ONDA Mp3 players are not meant to be sold in Western Europe as I have just purchased one from a UK web site, due for delivery Thursday am, will I have any problems associated with this purchase.
I have found your website to be an invaluable source of information, including all the details on updates etc.

from a uk website - odd, basically the only worry you have is warranty, onda will not honour it, your seller will have to deal with any problems

your problems will only arise if you have problems with the player and your seller is a pain and refuses to help, hope you were not over charged
i am uk and buy from here all the time, so i do not know if you were worried about buying from china direct, but there are no problems in doing so

welcome to the forum

I did pay slightly more than the US price but additional shipping + import tax, costs would have reduced the amount paid.

Having spent some time looking for a player with the specs that the ONDA has, was proving difficult, so if all goes ok and the unit functions as described I will be pleased.

I have ordered items from Hong Kong previously but I have had import taxes imposed and colleced by the shippers (UPS) which has nearly cancelled out, the benifits of the reduced price paid vs the lowest UK price.

Thank You for the interest in the post

mm, i never get customs charged from buying from mp4nation, or any other store, neither does anyone else

anyway, enjoy your player and stick around, there are some very interesting developments in the firmware for your player in the nodding section

the only thing that puts me off this player is the fact that only the video works on the tv out, none of the other players functions do, i am hoping a later update will sort this out

cheers and buy for now

The player is due for delivery Friday am, I hope it proves to be ok

I have purchased two cameras through ebay from the same Hong Kong supplier and had to pay import taxes on both items with UPS.

Can anyone help , will I have to load in the latest firmaware as as I am a newbie and a silver surfer I would appreciate any advise on how to carry out this action if it is required. My primary use of the player will be to play audio books and maybe have a couple of movies to amuse my grand children
Thanks in advance

Cross posting is not really necessary.

Do you know which model you bought? VX747? VX777?
