A new firmware has been released by RAmos for the RM970:

Release notes:


RM970 V2.10 RM970 firmware version V2.10
Major improvements:
1. A support network podcasts FLV video format (FLV video can be downloaded to the "other download" blue magic Victoria Siu-tong installation FLV download tools)
2. enhance stability, RMVB player automatically solve some of the problems Reset
3. upgrade RMVB playback capability, to support a maximum resolution of 800 × 450

already got this one - it was posted somewhere else on this site, but thanks for posting anyway

got to say - does not really improve much, in fact it makes RMVB files a little worse, but you do gain FLV support

so, i am still waiting

so you think this firmware makes the quality of the player still worse, i mean with the case of RMVB, so can you tell me which firmware gives us better functionality.

Hello everyone!

Three days ago I've instaled new firmware - 2.23; downloaded from official Ramos site and started instalation this new firmware. But after that my player don't work. Only what i can see is red screen :x I've sent email with my problem to Ramos technical support, but i didn't get reply. Did anyone have idea what to do??

Hi

do you have a genuine Ramos or OEM ramos, just to be sure, does the player have screws on the side???

red screen usually means missing images fles, or corrupted image file

this new firmware ver 2.23 will not even work on my ramos rm970 so i went back to the pentagram 2.19, i tried all the renaming stuff to i even reinstalled the ramos ver 2.20 firmware , and than tried to install the 2.23 over it and it still did not work....

i have installed 2.23 OK, so i do not know why your player wil not take the firmware

Rename the rkw file to Setup.rkw. Switch off the player, hold "M" and connect USB to PC. Copy the Setup.rkw inside the drive. Unplug the usb cable and it will update automatically
