What I think would make the most sense is to allow for separate headphones. Stock the player with halfway decent headphones, but allow for upgrades or additional sets. Maybe offer a discount on them if ordered with a player.

I like to have somewhat decent headphones with my player, that way if something happens to a good pair I might have, I won''t be stuck listening to headphones that sound like I am listening to them through a tin can.

I'm telling ya, Raz, canal phones are the way to go here. They are tons more comfortable than regular earbuds and (if you find the right ones), the possibility for noise cancellation is greater just based on design alone.

Hence why my $20 Creative ep-630's are my favorite non-over-the-ear phones I've ever owned.

Exactly what I was going to say. The Creative's are UNBEATABLE. I literally have been on a quest for the best headphones money can buy (under $100), and what I do is order a pair from Amazon, try them out, and compare them the current KING (the ep-630's). If they sound better, I keep them, if they don't, I send the back to Amazon for refund. So far, I've sent back probably 10 pair. The Creative's really are THAT GOOD.

oh i guess i forgot to update (or at least i can't remember if i announced this), but we will be getting our own headphones by the end of next week, they are canal earphones, probably best suited for those who like a deep bass on their music, overall the sound quality is quite good and they will retail for $14.95 (but i may have a introductory special) and there will be a new accessories pack option for players with these headphones

btw i went with Brainwavz for our headphone brand name and the model name for the headphones that are coming out is Alpha

So be on the look out for our new Alpha Brainwavz canal earphones to be out soon

I was kinda hoping for normal earbuds.

The ear canal earbuds look painful.

I actually find ear canal buds to be the MOST comfortable type of earphones (not counting over-the-ear padded headphones).

You get used to them real quick, actually.

Canal earbuds are probably not for everybody.
Why not give an option: normal or in ear buds, choose when ordering.

canal ones for me, i like the meizu ones but i have small ears and they, and others of that style hurt my ears (aaaahhhh poor me )

i suppose its hard to please everyone when trying to put a default set of phones together, i mean i assume other media player don't give you a choice (ipod etc), you get what you are given, for mp4nation have to put something in the box as standard and i am sure it would be possible to maybe select the type you want at checkout, but that adds an extra layer to the already overworked mp4nation despatch team and of course a possibility of the wrong phones being sent by honest mistake

well whatever, as long as they sound good and of course look the part :)

well i do not think they will be standard accessory for the S:Flo, just because the initial cost for the first order is pretty high, maybe down the road once we start producing more they will become standard. The standard headphones for the S:flo will be the generic ones that the factory send us, however we are sending PT-850Bs right now till stocks run out for S:Flo orders.

I don't think we could give a choice, it would be to time intensive for us to have to repack the accessories on every player, i think i would get beaten up if i tried to implement something like that right now, haha.

That is great news. I can't wait to see these. I will probably pick up a pair or two. I don't think my wife will like them though, but then I have a backup pair for me if she doesn't.
