So you guys ARE aware that this phone comes from the same "family line" of phones as the eNv?

It is a sideways clamshell phone that opens to another screen on top and a full qwerty keyboard on the bottom - essentially a miniature laptop look and feel.

I have the eNv issued by employer. It is by FAR and AWAY THE best phone I've ever carried. I could just imagine that phone with more multimedia features on the front (not to mention touch screen) on likely a slightly wider form.

This smells of HUGE sales and success on LG and Verizon.

After owning my Onda VX858, I can honestly tell you that I prefer buttons....My Onda is fine since I don't do any typing on it, but I am a huge eNv fan and will probably be my next phone (upgrade in 2 weeks...). The Voyager is a great phone. For those on the Verizon wireless network, it is probably now THE phone to have (the only other smart phone I would consider is the VX6800.

Yes there are things that the iPhone does better and now that they have officially opened it to 3rd party software, it will have even more abilities...but here's my problem: Everything on one device. Bryce mentioned awhile back that the problem with smart phones is that they drain so quickly. I started asking around and everyone I spoke to complained about battery life especially when using iPhones as their music player. Most have gone back to carrying an iPod.

I'm going to the eNv for text messaging and phone capabilities, and still carrying my Onda VX858 for music and videos.

If you are a "texter" Paul, you will NOT be sorry with the eNv. Plus, the battery life on it is amazing!

I'm curious if that particular strength (battery) would translate in to th e Voyager.

I have a buddy with the older version (thicker model that I believe had the minisd slot opposed to the micro), and it really impresses me. I'm not a huge texter (yet) but that is largely because I hate using the 10 key to enter in messages!

I am not sure what the battery life would be with the voyager but I am sure it can't be any worse than other mutli function (smart) phones. I actually was looking at going crazy for awhile and getting the VX6800, but after reading the battery life reviews of its predecessor, I decided that seperate devices is still probably the best solution.

Oh and Josh, I know you have an iTouch and not an iPhone, but for comparison of this thread (the Voyager being the discussion item), the iPhone is a better comparison. See if your iTouch battery dies, you aren't losing your cell phone too. That's my complaint with the iPhone.

Batteries just aren't good enough....getting there, but we still have a long way to go.

No. I wish. My emplyer hasn't paid for the internet package. Just phone and text.

I've begged HR to at least just pay for mine and take it out of my paycheck at the very least, but they won't. :(
