i am pretty sure no subscription service music download is DRM free - kind of the only way to make sure your music/movies are only active when you have a valid subscription would be via some sort of DRM, like Napters and Yahoo music have.

by the looks of it, best buy just uses Real networks Raphsody for their music service and they are DRM free service

i would recommend using Amazons music service

So why wouldn't one just go to Rhapsody directly rather than go through Best Buy to get to it? You know it's going to be more expensive to go through Best Buy as they need to skim something off the top to make some money.

i don't think so, i think Best Buy either has some sort of straight up deal with Real or Best buy gets a commision, just like affiliate marketing sort of stuff

either way i don't trust real networks, Amazon is a safer bet and probably a better deal

I agree with Razz, Amazon is where I get all my music now. They have reasonable prices, they are MP3s and thus DRM-free, and you need no special software to download the music files, and although they do offer some sort of widget that will allow you to download entire albums, I've not used it myself.
My players: Meizu M6, iPod Touch

well the pay as you go does have the benefit that you get to keep the music you download, with monthly subscription services, once you quit the service, all the music that you have becomes deactivated and you can't listen to them anymore.

In the long run, the pay as you go is better as you actually get to keep the music and use it on any device.
