from what i see earphones seem to have very short life, and seeing the way the kids use them im not surprised at all, they leave them all over the place, the pull them out of their ears by yanking the cord, their "mates" pull them out by the cords as a prank - im not surprised at all that they fail - they need some kind of modular bomb proof system where the parts that fails are actually clips/plugs, this way the strain on pulling can be relieved as it will more likely pop-out than break and they could also customise them by plugging different colours in and replace parts when they do fail - almopst like Lego earphone - if you see where im at - inn fact phones where all the bits plug in (heads, splitters, plugs etc) are something i like the idea of

I've had my M2s for over a year and half, still going strong. I'm very careful with them though as if they broke I'd have no way to listen to music on the bus for months until I could afford some new ones.
Still, I use them on a daily basis and keep them in a little Mofi case.

probably need a small burn but just use em, hey are pretty sorted from the box - hope you got them OK

also from my statements above about TEEN friendly phones - well, it happened again and another set have bitten the dust, damn KIDS!!! these things need steel reinforcements on all joints and connections!!!

hope yours last longer in the kids hands
