Is the cable more or less durable than the M4 w/o mic?

Thanks for the review. Still haven't received my M5 yet. Is the new case also included in the M5 package or were they just sent out with the review samples?

Really, will need to check and see where its at. Did you get the fedex tracking i sent to you?

The M5 right now do not have the new case. The first Brainwavz product to have the cases will be the new R1, followed by M3 and ProAlpha as new stock for both is currently in production. I did want the M5 to have the new case but unfortunately the new case production took longer to wrap up then hoped and it missed the last date we needed them to arrive in order for the M5 production not to be delayed.

They use the exact same cable.

They work fine on iPhones and they work fine on my S3. With Android phones you will need to check if the phone support TRSS plugs, if they do not then the M5 with mic will not function properly on them. Some Sony and older Samsung models do not use TRSS plugs.

Yes I received the tracking number and it's been at a local Fedex facility in a larger centre of my province since Sept 20th. Since I'm in a rural area it takes longer for things to get delivered since Fedex packages get delivered to me by a local trucking company but I did expect to have it by now though.. If I don't receive it by Friday I'll contact Fedex to find out what's going on.

Ok good to know its not lost. Give Fedex a call to make sure everything is ok. Any customs duty should be automatically been charged to our account, so if they say any tax needs to be paid tell them our side is the one that will pay.

kanuka thanks for the review, i hope you've kept using them as the earphones do get even better with a good burn in, hope to hear your comments on how they sound after using them for a longer period of time.

indeed. after using them more, the sound improves! it's not yet a day to night difference, but noticeable. the main improvement is in the details, much better. i'd add more comments on the review itself after i give more time! Thanks Raz again, you really made a great product!

I've had my M5's for a while now and I'll be honest and say I wasn't very impressed with them and considered selling them. After reading a post on head-fi though about the front vents being plugged on someones M5's I decided to check mine and discovered mine were also plugged with some glue or something.. I very carefully unplugged the front vents with a needle and put the narrow bore tips on and gave them another listen.. I don't really know if opening the front vent holes changed the sound or going from the wide bore to the narrow bore tips did but I'm loving these now.. The M5's sounded somewhat muffled to me right out of the box and even after a few hours burn in but not anymore. They have a very nice deep bass and the highs which were a little harsh to me to me at first have also improved and is quite nice now, plus the muffled sound is now gone. I also had a little problem with comfort when wearing the M5's at first since it felt like there was too much pressure in my ear and I had to remove them quite often.. Opening the front vent holes seems to have fixed this issue for me also. I'm happy I decided not to sell this awesome little gem now.. :)
