Mine did the same thing when I disconnected it without safely removing it from my pc. So I installed the firmware for the teclast model TL-M50HD version 5.5 and now it's working again.

The OS-72HR was a great little player (interesting how now its little and back when it came out everyone though 4.3" was huge).

TWP i think its the USB port that might be damaged or loose, this could also be the cause of why you need to reload the firmware, if the unit is not properly disconnecting it can screw up the firmware. Not sure if its a matter of checking the pin or resoldering the port but you should check the next time you open it up.

I would prefer to bring back the old line than do these tablets anyday, there was actual style and things to be interested about the old players, not the same with tablets.

I miss the old days, when the new chips/features came out. It was a blast. Tablets/Android bore me, to be honest.

Raz, I just use a micro SD now for it. Load my movies on it, insert, no problems. Easier than messing with the USB. However, if I do ever take it apart again, I'll give it a look.

I was never able to enjoy a whole movie on this player.. Since day one it gave me problems. Now after not touching it for a year it wouldnt even conect to my pc. It shows the usb connecting symbol then it updates my play list then it goes back to the main screen.. My is brand new. I coulnd charged it since day one so I always run out of battery. I didnt like the menu but the screen looked really nice. I used the FM transmitter on my car a few time at it worked good.. but now can update or get new stuff in it. Mine is the 16gb and it has like 250mb in music.. thats it.. All I know is to stick to name brand players from now on... mine is a brand new $125 paperweight... lol No wonders Mp4nation does not sell them any more..
