as Maderin stated, he deleted the topic by accident.

so i'll resume what i wrote here:

I got my Cube U30GT Mini, but there are problems:

-stuck pixels (at least 2 of them near the top left, noticed some more later more on the lower left side)
-awful backlight bleeding on the left side of the screen
-wrong charger (UK plug)
-tablet still in Chinese language. (changed that, but still, it's supposed to be handled by MP4Nation employees...)
-i also noticed some mis-touch detection while playing a game included with the stock firmware, where you throw nets to catch fishes.

as Raz told me before, they always check the tablets before shipping them. The person who did my package clearly didn't checked my tablet for anything stuck or dead pixels!

I hope i could send this for replacement to a US address/office, it would save time and money, because sending this back to China/Hong Kong will probably cost me between 30-50$ for a moderate shipping method and speed, taking weeks to get there.

Also, can i ask for it to be replaced by another model? i didn't heard anything bad about the Ainol Crystal...so it must be a good sign, right? i know it's 8gb, but at least i'll use a 32gb MicroSD in it...i wanted a quad-core Mali-400 7" tablet, but it seem there's none with enough quality to stop the screen from being crappy around. so far i had good experience with Ainol, since the V3000 years ago, then the V9000HDA with an awesome screen quality (not talking about the resistive touch though), the Elf II being decent, but lacking on screen (non-IPS), so i guess the Crystal will do the job right, and i could just swap my leather case with the Crystal instead, since all the connectors are at the same place.

What i think is...if i remember, Raz said he's going to a consumer products show, so maybe staff just got lazy while Raz isn't there, and this is why i got a bad unit. If so, this would also explain why i didn't got a reply from the support ticket since Thursday!

I really am sorry that you have a unit with stuck pixels, i did see your PM but only today, i haven't really been on the forums or in the office for the good part of the last 3 weeks. Unfortunately this is not something out of the unusual on the Cubes tablet line, after discussing with them today they have said they do not consider a screen defective unless it has more than 5 stuck pixels, essentially they are using B stock screens to cut the price down. I checked some of the other Cube tabs and two had pixels stuck and others did not, but the backlight bleeding seems to be more common, not sure if this is just how it is on this model or construction issue, but it again looks like Cube don't seem to consider it a issue.

I don't really know what else alternative suggestion to give other than i can recommend is to send it back for a refund, i can't really assure you that a replacement wouldn't have any of those issues. I am not exactly very happy at how Cube are just rolling out tablets with screens like this, they seem to justify it as thats how they keep the price so low.

As for the other issues, the chargers we get are not always USA 2 pin, in the case of the Cube tablets they only had UK and Euro plugs, but the chargers itself support upto 240v so they can work worldwide.

Our staff do check the tablets, but the checking to make sure they turn on, touch screen works and every other to see if the tablet detects wireless routers (wifi chip check), they do not check each tablet for stuck pixels unless they see one, it would just take way to long to give each tablet a detailed check.

Follow up with support and they will help you out.

ok. They did sent the tablet in a separate yellow-ish paper-bubble envelope inside the plastic one, but the charger doesn't fit very well in the paper envelope. Do i have to send the charger back as well?

I thought Cube was a good brand, it doesn't seem so. buying crappy-quality screens...Heh, i'm thinking about getting a Nexus 7, seriously, i always liked Asus, and i bet they have much nicer quality control, and i won't have to deal with costly and long return shipping! Yes it's more expensive, but at least the strict QC and fast return (to physical store) is there. And with the 32gb version just released.

So Cube is out of the question now.

Is there a way i can return this to a USA office? to save on cost and time for shipping.

If you are sending it back for a refund then send everything back. The issue with the screens is that they and all the other China makers want to use IPS/MVA/High res screens but they also don't want to pay the high price for it, so they're buying B stock. All of the China tablet makers are doing the same.

Even the Nexus 7 tablet hate me!

first one i got had bright pixels after a while, so i went back to exchange it, and stayed in the shop to test it for a while, and then i found a defect on the glass, so i got it exchanged right away, stayed there again for about a hour, it seemed ok, but then when i turned it on today, i found dark pixels!!

ok i'm asking for a refund at the shop now...i'm too pissed off, i might buy used later, knowing it has been used for a while and the seller would tell me if the screen is fine or not.
