Hello, I need some help. I think I may have bricked my Jxd301. What happened when I went out today I had my Jxd301 on in my pocket with my cellphone. After that, I got home to use it and went to turn it on.When I turned it on the screen came on like normal. Then after went to black.......for a very long time.I tried it several times and same thing would happen.Anybody have any suggestions?I am thinking maybe the cellphone and Jxd301 had a fight in my pocket, or perhaps a bad game file I have downloaded.

Download the latest firmware of jxd's site. Then load the player in frimware mode and copy the firmware onto the player, this may sort the player out.

Does it still connect to the USB port? If so, maybe reformat it in Explorer. Another owner had a similar issue a few weeks back, and after re-formatting, the 301 sprang back to life (you will loose everything though).

To enter FIRMWARE UPDATE mode, while the 301 is off, press the RIGHT button and ON button at the same time. After the orange screen flashes on and then off again, quickly connect via USB and replace the main.ldr and 'mguires' files.

 i wish you to recover 301 soon!
by the way, i found an easier way to enter the firmware mode.
press the RIGHT button(don't release until you see the orange screen), and connect with PC via USB. (no need to press power) then 301 is automatically turned on with orange screen and you will see the firmware folder on your PC.

Thank guys.It connects to the usb on the pc.I did hold the right button and press power. The orange screen came on and quickly flashed.Next, I hook the Jxd301 quickly to the usb cable attached to the pc and dragged and dropped the main.ldr and the'mguires'files on the 301.After it finished loading then I unhooked usb cable and turned it on.However, I still got the orange screen and it had a error message on it .So I repeated the process and I still get a orange screen.I would like to know if I missed any steps. Also would you have to use any rar programs to open the961 files. P.S. thanks I appreiciate you guys help.

try to format the flash of the jxd 301, then transfer you new firmware to it. sounds like the FAT got screwed up.

Great news - if possible, please can you edit the title of your thread to include the word [SOLVED] once you are happy that this is the case :D !! That way, others coming here with a similar problem will find the whole start-to-finish of this topic very useful.
