First off, really good review of the ELF II between your youtube video and write-up here.
I assume you tried out the 1080p 10-bit sample files I had you test on the Tornados. Hmm...interesting since I read someone on slatedroid mention the AMLogic dual-core can decode 10-bit videos (the person only tried out 720p, though, but I would find it a little strange, maybe not, that if the thing can hardware decode 10-bit videos, it can only do 720p).
But, thanks for the info. Even so, it seems that the ELF II or Tornados are still good bang for the buck chinatabs. And, these make more sense than the Nexus 7 due to expandable storage even if it's not as polished.
Thanks

Yep, I used your samples that I used before, and it honestly did the same thing as on the Tornados...I even had them play side by side to confirm it. Guess I might have set up MX Player wrong...or not. It IS decoding them, and theres little or no blockiness that I see on the POTC clip, but then again, the SOTD one was the same on both tabs, blocky and almost unwatchable on some parts, clear as a bell on others...could have been the clip itself as well. Sorry I couldnt be of more help here.
