Did...did you say EVEN MORE tabs coming Monday???? I think I just had a tabgasm! Video reviews are always good :) I agree, the A90 is definitely the same(almost)as the T10a,so I'll probably skip it(not sure on that one yet...I prefer the form factor of the A90,as well as the larger battery),but the Aurora's are nice despite the horrible(IMHO)form factor. Can't wait to see the new additions :)

The Onda Vi40 elite and the Teclast A12 share a similar form factor and also use IPS screens and same processor, those might be better alternatives.

Only time will tell on that,Raz. At least the current ones have some built in support(that's the reason I'm interested in them),never a bad thing with China tabs. By the way,I just realized that you can only have four images per post(it errored with my last post saying that)...you might want to up that if possible or TWP might rebel ;)

Thanks, will get to changing those limits.

Yes, Ainol is in production of Novo7 Aurora 2, which is 1024*600 IPS screen , dual core. Have heard AML will have source code out? It'll be a great development for this.

Yes they are, but i think they won't be totally discontinuing the aurora 1 right away.

I just read on SD on how to get Netflix to run on the EKEN A10 based tabs:
Go into your Netflix account and look for a setting that controls image quality(its called "Manage Video Quality"). Use the "Better Quality" setting. That's all there is to it...I finally got Netfilx to work on my T10a doing that  This should work for all of them :)

got some odd noises from this thing after I ask it to do something' basically it sounds like a mechanical hdd sound, only quieter, not sure what it is' also the usb for chsrging has become loose fitting which is bad news as that is the only way to charge it since the dedicated charger was dud from the off, this is a shsme as this tab is exactly what I always wanted, personally I would say look to the onda version as the last devices I have had from them were built to last

I seem to be hearing a lot about EKEN's frailties as of late....they used to be very well built. At least my T10a seems to be holding up decently, with no obvious problems. My old EKENS,the ones they released around two years ago,are still functioning as well.As I said earlier, yours might have been a dud with a delayed timer, just not quite right from the get go....or thats just the way that particular one is built.Sad really,it really is a great design. I've been looking at all the new choices, but havent made up my mind just yet, I have a week to do so,no hurry :)

it may be that its just one of those things, i have tried a different able in the USB socket and it seems to fit better, so it may be the actual cable thats dodgy and not the socket, but as its micro USB i dont have any spares kicking around, the ones i have are for my Sony phone and must be pinned out different as it does not seem to charge the tablet :( - movies look really nice on this but i will say that dark scenes are too dark even with full brightness, for the price though its a great screen

Does the sound happen after you've touch the screen, it could be a feedback from the panel+processor that comes out the speaker, if it is then it would be down to the design of the board.

I decided to go for the Onda's,both a 7" and the 9.7". I dont need yet another dual core tablet,at least not so soon. I like Onda, hopefully they wont let me down :)

Well...as is usual for me,I changed my mind right at the last minute(actually after a nice chat via email)and went for a tab that is much like the Onda Vi40,but isnt a rebrand, its an OEM,like the Midnite was here. And its being sold right here in the USA as well...with my luck with tabs being shipped from China to me(not very good...),I hope this will be a good experience :) As its being sold by a store other than here, I dont feel right saying its name,so I wont. Its a highly optimized 9.7" A10 based tab. I liked the specs and well thought out totally fixed up version of the ICS OS. I like Onda a lot,but the thought of having to yet again have to run various scripts just to get a full marketplace and a smoother OS made me cringe. I hope to be getting a nice, easy to use out of the box experience....only time will tell,of course. Dont worry,Raz,I'll get one here next month ;)
