Try my N2 Sound Settings! I don't know if this will work with your N2s but I hope it will.

1) SETTINGS --> Sound (select standard EQ)

2) BBE Setting (Set custom USER BBE here, the standard EQ and BBE user costum should mix)

USER1: (Configure to this setting)
BBE Freq - 9
BBE Cont Level - 9
BBE Proc Level - 4
BBE 3D Gain - 5
BBE MP Gain - 6

3) Take a listen and turn Off the N2. (USER1 should appear as the EQ Setting in Now Playing)

4) Turn it on and listen again, preferrably to the last song you've listened to (USER1 should still appear as the EQ setting).

Heard any significant difference? Or it's just my N2?!

Sound after no. 2) is already good. But after you finished through no. 4) you'll really get surprised by how good it is! Even a Rockboxed Sansa Clip+ doesn't come close, do does an Apple!

P.S. I can't live with my N2 without that setting. I've tried all EQ'ing that I could with my N2 but that one really works like magic for me! Try it with yours too! :D

Thanks for sharing your settings with us. There was for sometime on the C30 forum over at Cubes website an ongoing thread with people posting various BBE settings. They even had people who were known to be good at fiddling with BBE settings come up with some of the presets that are on the C30/N2.

no difference in sound before/after turning off the player for me...

for the setting itself i think it heavily depends on the headphones (& music)
( too dull for me, too bassy and lack of mids + highs)
ultrasone hfi 2400 (cans) or brainwavz m2 = flat (no eq, bbe)
xears xt2pro = bbe standard
