Hi guys. I need a piece of help.
I am now in a search of a flo2 or teclast t51 and cannot find any.
there are some devices on the chineese ebay-like site taobao.com

they appear to be the same device manufactured by taipower. But there is an issue. Only chineese language in them. Can you please provide me some information.

1. Do you think that devices are indeed flo2-t51 brothers?
2. Will i be able to flash it say with the 2.3 firmware to obtain English at least?
3. If i cannot distinguish between the FW versions in it (as all in chineese), can i safely flash 1.2 and then 2.3?
4. You know a better place to get this player?

hi

1 - yes, they are the T51/sflo2 (same player)
2. it will have english in already but you can flash the Nationite one no problem
3. it will have a version that is newer than the 1 series (and you will be able to see it anyway) as they only ever did small runs on these so will not be any old version lying around
4. not sure where else to get it as we can link to other stores - its pretty much out of production ow and lso, not sure if you can buy from that site - you will need to investigate (a quick Google brings up a MERI little shop to buy from)

NOTE - Teclast (taipower) only made up to 8GB models, nationite made up to 16GB models - so, if you only finds Teclast one (which is pretty much all you will find) then 8GB internal is all you will find

thanks for the information. The seller claims no English present in that device, however this might not be true. Any way, no chance for me to go trough chineese menus to get English. )

There is a chance to get items from that site, besides the prices are great - about $110 for the teclast. And yes it is 8gb.

So are the firmwares interchangable between these devices irregarding the mem size? or the firmware is plainly the same in flo2 and t51?

yes, firmware are compatible and as for no English, well i think they are wrong, almost every Chinese player has English and Chinese by default, rockchip tabs certainly do - either way you can use the firmware in the teclast

The T51 has english in it, but you are better off loading our custom firmware, the skin is much nicer looking than the horrid thing that Teclast made for themselves.

ooh yes - i forgot about the ugly UI on the Teclast ... i think i coughed up a ;little sick just thinking about it ..

haha, yeah their UI is just plain awful, i don't know what went through the designers mind when they made that horrid mess.

Hello all,
my first post here to get some help from you. I have a Teclast T51, seems the firmware is corrupted as i cannot see letters anymore, only the logos. So I was thinking of loading the sflo2 firmware into it as you all say its much better then the teclast original, but the download files on the nationite site are all dead links! :-(

can you help me?
