As for gaming,as long as you tone down some settings on the more graphic intensive ones, they should work ok on the Studio. Its no all out gaming rig,but it plays back the majority of the games I threw at it just fine.

Thanks for testing games on this. With a slower processor, I'd see installing less graphic intensive games on this Studio 5.3. Personally, I like seeing game reviews on these tablets to get a honest appraisal of the limitations of the GPU. TBH, I can live without the top of the line games because I have found some less demanding games that are good time wasters.

This is the best thing about this Studio 5.3, it's price. I'm broke right now, but if I had the money, I'd buy something like this for myself as an ebook reader alternative to the Nook/Fire. It's not as big as a Nook/Kindle, but this 5.3" screen is good enough for reading for me, and I can pop in my T-Mobile simcard to do my downloads and make calls. There is a compromise with the slower chipset that I'm willing to make for a good Android phone w/ a stable OS. Now THIS, seems like a good device and the type of tablet/smartphone that I like to see on the forum.

Thats exactly the reason I recommended this to try and be sold here. The Chinese dealer for this, according to chendude,if I'm not mistaken that is,is a bit more expensive than the ones here in the USA...but its still a great deal. I hope Raz can nab some for us :)

Just a small update on the battery life. The battery is definitely breaking in now,and I'm seeing even better life out of it,like it needed more, lol. I finally got around to messing with JuiceDefenders settings, and have increased the life an impressive 45 minutes over my original set up. I'm seriously going two days between charges, including a massive amount of gaming and web browsing, not to mention all but living on the phone. I grow more and more impressed with this phablet every day :)

What kind of case or screen protector are you using for your Studio 5.3? I usually try to find a generic one that is close to the size of these tablets that I buy overseas.

Due to its size,I dont use(actually havent found)a case, but the rubberized back cover really eliminates the need for one. I custom cut a screen protector from a 7" one I had lying around, only cutting it to fit over the viewable screen itself(a proper square). it made it a lot easier to cut it that way.

BLU is insisting that they wont release the firmware to me because I'm not a developer...so I'm not going to chance rooting my Studio. Keep in mind that it honestly dosent need to be rooted, just would have been nice to have the option. After using this for a few weeks now,all I can say to anyone on the fence with this,BUY IT. Its an amazing phablet for the price :)
