Hi,

I'm looking for new bigger tablet. My old tablet is Window n50dt.

What do you people recommend? Should I go with some of those IPS screen tabs?
Or maybe pay bit more and buy Asus transformer?

Things i would like to have in the tab is:
-at least 8 inch screen
-GPS so I can check where the h*ll I'm going :D
-Great battery life 7+ h
-Sometimes i'll play games so good performance
-Good video play back. No need for full hd or anything like that just normal avi files.
-Multitouch capacitive screen
-802.11 b/g/n
-Easy keyboard connection. Either a case with keyboard or asus transformer style keyboard.
-Possibility to use it with skype.

It would be really nice to hear what you recommend. Asus transformer is at the top of price range, but i would like to have something much cheaper what could do the same tricks.

Sorry for my bad english.

To be perfectly blunt,if you can afford a Transformer,BUY IT! Its one of the best tabs out there, even though its been replaced by the Transformer Prime...which isnt too expensive either.I cant recommend another tablet in that size range that will give you more bang for your buck.We all want to go cheaper,I love looking for that perfect cheap tab,but sometimes you just gotta buck up and buy the best. Dont think, just do it ;)

Transformer is currently at the pain level. Prime is way too expensive. If i but 600+€ to a computer/laptop it has to offer more then casual gaming, internet browsing and video watching.
i'll wait for month or two and look where these tabs are going.
Thanks anyway.

If there's someone who wants to recommend me tablet it would be nice.
Maybe say good and bad things versus transformer.

RAmos is (finally) rolling out some new tabs...the W13 and W16 are both 8.0" Amlogic (newer M3 version) tabs with the W16 looking like the more interesting of the two. Both Android 4.0 and decent prices in China @ 899 & 999 RMB (both 8GB), respectively

Hyundai S800 is still my fave for having it all in an 8.0" Rockchip tablet, but cons might be it's built strong and heavy and support/availability is suspect even in China. Their 9.7" S900 also looks great/bad for the same reasons, but seems to be long announced yet still MIA.

SmartQ Ten2 Plus maybe? 9.7" Amlogic (newer M3 version) with great support, but I'm not sure why no one in China is actually selling it for the 999 RMB announced price. If that was just a New Year's promo, then forget it...not worth the higher price.

Ramos has too weak battery life. I can't find info about battery life on the other two tabs. Hyundai is interesting, but hard to find.
Thank you for this info!

The tabs using thus A10 processor have good battery life. Not many of the newer tabs have GPS but this isn't such a bad thing as most apps that you can use GPS on needs an active wifi connection to pull map data so if you use it outdoors the GPS apps may not work properly.

Did you notice the Aigo M80 thread below this one? I didn't. :P

Aigo typically thinks a lot more of their products, so the M80's 999 RMB price is rather surprising. Appears to be another Amlogic tablet.

"Aigo M80:It powered by 4700mAh lion battery, has about 4 hours battery life.
Music around the state About 6 hours
About the video mode About 3-4 hours"

Am i missing something or do these 9,7 inc IPS screen tablets have better battery life?

7 hrs battery on any Chinese tablet is optimistic. You would probably have to compromise on that. Some of the larger Chinese IPS tabs probably have slightly better battery life as they are able to accommodate larger batteries, but even then top out at around 6hrs. I believe the SmartQ Ten2 Plus comes close on battery life due to its huge 7500mah battery, but....

SmartQ have just announced a load of dual core tabs, probably won't widely available a little while, but again may come close in the battery stakes and should be much improved over the Ten2 Plus in terms of performance, with ICS, Dual Core and 1GB Ram...

viewtopic.php?f=20&t=24362

Archos G9/G10 are decent budget tabs, that also come close battery wise. However none of them have GPS I don't think, in fact very few tabs I am aware of apart from the Prime and possibly a few others have GPS.

If battery is a real concern, i'd say spend a bit more and buy a Samsung tab as they really can't be beaten on battery performance.

EDIT: SmartQ Ten3 just popped up for pre-order on another site for around $270 shipped, estimated release date is 25th February.

What about those Lenovo tabs? Theres's nothing about the A1. I know it's 7", but it costs less then 200$ has gps, bluetooth and hd display. Some reviews say the battery lasts over 5h video playback. But i haven't find anything on about wifi on times.
