We have the LU2 coming in which may solve the handset issue with the sony, but as Jame said it might not allow for the remote function to work.

Today I received my Brainwavz M4 Microphone & Remote.
Sometimes one press of the button will pause/play the song, but sometimes, when I push the button, nothing happens, just quiet the noise in the headphones.

Maybe I have a fake?
bonglee23, can you make a photo of case, wire, clip and microphone\remote?

yours wont be a fake - the case is the latest design raz was on about, the mic in the left image looks like a photoshop render o wont be 100% like the actual device, the splitter, well thats probably a pre-production version on the left before mass production took hold, so, basically your will be an actual brainwavz - now, as for your problems with the remote i cant help with im afraid, im sure admin will advise on that one

Yours looks exactly the same as mine which I got from Mp4nation through Amazon. Since Mp4nation creates the Brainwavz line, anything they create can't be called a fake : P. However, I do think the old cable was better then the new one.....what's up with that?

One question actually. Should the mic controls work on a Sansa Clip +? Because mine do not.

my Brainwavz, accessories and packaging look exactly like yours, so no need to worry.
And yes, the mic/remote can be a bit tricky at times. You never know what will happen - sometimes nothing, sometimes the voice control is activated, but most times it does what it should, pause or play the song - but you learn to live with it.
I like the M4 way too much to be bothered by it any more

@dacrazydude: No it shouldn't, the control is designed for telephones.

Things change, cases, accessories etc. The location of the 'Brainwavz M4' on the splitter just depends on how the splitter was assembled, there is no exactly location that it should be position.

I am also pretty sure we wouldn't make fakes of our own products :P



I think you are mistaking the cable for the non mic with the mic version, the two have different style cables, which is noted on each product page.

is there a way to differentiate between a genuine item and a fake? i'm very confident with your stock of course but my friends seem tempted by things that pop from ebay.

I doubt there are any fakes of our products, as in actual reproductions. If you see anything suspicious you can always contact mp4nation support to verify it.
