anyone here got this? Window N12r 7" tablet with rk2918 chip.
if yes, what do you think? is it any good? are there firmware updates available to download?

seems OK, i assume the "R" version is the same as the original but looks like a new shell to match their other tabs
it will (should) be updated to ICS soon but dont take that as red

as this is using the same internal set up as many other tabs, like the window N50, etc etc than use those as comparison for its performance (which will be very good)

cant tell you if it has android market though or if the build is any good, but it should be OK as windows are pretty much on the ball most of the time

cool,thanks so much for the speedy reply sir. im considering buying this.though im also torn between this or the ainol novo 7 advance. guess, ill have to wait and see how their ics upgrade will turn out.

windows N90 ICS seems to be pretty good (again, same internals as the N12) so its looking like it will be a good update once all the bits and bugs are sorted (this inevitably will take time as ICS is so new) but ICS will be coming to all tabs soon enough, maybe give it till end FEB to see whats really going down, also be aware that these companies can drop a tab like a hot potato and never supply updates (with so many models from each company there are many left to rot), so if ICS is important then its best to get a tab where you know it comes with ICS as standard

cool,but 9.7" screen is just too large for my needs. i think 8" is as far as i could go cheers m8

i wasnt suggesting the N90 just pointing out that its had its BETA update to ICS and reports so far are on the good side, meaning the ICS should be on the way soon (hopefully)
personally i like the 9.7" size and the 4:3 format as opposed to the widescreen ones - but each to their own

indeed m8.any suggestions for a good 8inch tab?

im afraid not, im not fully up to speed on whats out there - too many to follow - but i do like this one - Hyundai H900 8", same RK chip as the N12, N50 etc with 8" 4:3 ratio screen - nice tab
