well according to stuff you need 256mb ram minimum, any screen res and recommended decent 3D GPU - so yes, for most china tabs ICS will be possible - but, it depends on how they want to play it, the normal route for them would be to tie ICS in with the release of a new chip rather then update existing stock -its not down to each single company (teclast, ainol etc), they dont do this level of programming its up to who makes the core firmware for the respective chip makers, if they can be bothered to do it then we will see it adopted on some tabs, but, i think for the most part we will see new chips and with it we will see ICS - but again we really do not know until it happens

Well thanks for the information, I know chinese tablet makers wouldn't update a tablet that is sold right now.
But would we see a ICS tablet more in january or february from china?

I would really love to upgrade my Archos 101 (its so slow) to a new dual-core/quad-core with a 720p screen and ics build in.

dont know, but tim sure they would prefer to get them out before the holidays, ie xmas, as they seem to really like planning for the holidays sales, but, we will have to see, it really is impossible to predict but i would say that we will see them early next year for sure, most chips i am sure are more than capable but then again on some platforms we r still seeing 2.2, maybe they were holding off on 2.3.x and instead will release 4.0 instead, again, it really is just not predictable what will happen, but we will see them adopt ICS as soon as possible

Well the reason I asked is that I have never come across a honeycome tablet from China, only 2.2 and 2.3
We will just have to wait and see

honeycomb was not open source like the previous version so this is why we never saw any, only special google friends got to play, but ICS is back in the open so we will see it soon

You will probably see it first on one of the generic tabs (Dropad, Wopad, etc.) running something like the Samsung PV210. Hard to predict, though, how the "big names" will handle it. Given the business works on churning out new products every month, it would go against all (their) business logic to offer the latest Android version on -for example- the N50 sometime in the future. Now, if you'd like to buy the N50II...
