Suppin,

I just looked on Market Place did a search for those. I can find MX Player, but Dice Player isn't listed. Are you sure that's the apps name?

Ok I'm staring at it on my Tegra 2 tablet right now (Viewsonic G-Tablet). It is "DicePlayer" and "DicePlayer Trial" by Inisoft. The trial is a 3 day free trial, the paid version
is $5.29. It maybe hidden from you because of your device? You can google diceplayer, and I notice it's on 1 or 2 alternative markplaces.

OH! That's the problem. I just checked on the Android Market full website and my smartphone isn't compatible. Thanks maderin1. I installed MX Player and I'm going to test it w/ some of my MKV files w/ subtitles. I had a couple of test files I had from Handbrake that I used to test out new PMPs. I'm interested to see if this is better than MoboPlayer. That's my favorite video app right now.

If you are having problem with speed, set the decoder setting to SW-FAST. Fast Software decryption. If your hardware decryption is working but you get no sound, set it to software audio decryption. On the G-Tablet I had to use software audio decryption on one of my files.

SUPPIN did you get the advanced or basic version of the novo7? Are there any reviews of the basic out and is it capacitive screened?

I bought the novo 7 advanced version. The advanced has a capacitive screen. I didn't do any research into the basic version because there were many concerns about it being a different type of processor and not an ARM. Sorry.

*EDIT ADDING MORE INFO*

Here is a review on IMP3 of the Novo7 Basic. It does look like it has a 5 point capacitive screen (as seen by the tests).

The biggest issue with the basic for me would be the XBurst CPU. Since it is a MIPS type CPU and not an ARM type CPU, it will have problems with compatability of many applications. The IMP3 reviewer mentioned that glbenchmark, nenamark, and neocore all had problems with this CPU which definitely does not bode well for application compatability.

Also note that MX Player and MVideoplayer don't seem to work with this tablet, installing but not running according to the reviewer, in fact he says none of the video players he installed work correctly. Very very bad compatability issues, once again due to MIPS v ARM support.

Well read the review and take from it what you wish, it is fast though (although it is using a 2.2.1 variant of android and not the later 2.3.4 that the advanced uses).

We got the Advanced versions in stock now, the basics were not available and Ainol seem to be taking their time to make more of the basic version.

There is no market, at least on the ones we have, but Ainol have a habit of sending us units without marketplace loaded for some reason, so i am unsure if this is normal.
