My firmware is either aug9 or sep8, not sure how to read the date on these. Mine apparently had shipped with the new battery, I've had great battery time.

How long work you momo8 in web surfing mode?
My work 4-5 hours, not more...

I'm getting about 5 hours if I'm doing straight surfing. With only using it once in a while and turning the screen off in between I can keep the battery going for about 12 hours. This is way way more than either of my two previous tablets. When just reading ebooks with the wifi off and the brightness maxed, I haven't yet hit the end of the battery life, and that's reading for about 10 hours.

I'm hoping eventually someone gets one of these and disassembles it for us. I would kind of like to know how to take it apart just in case something goes wrong with it. Every one of these tablets seems to be a little bit different.

tailung, you battery is very good!

My momo8 is unsatisfactory :( :
- Back side of the unit is quite hot (WiFi On). Max work time with WiFi On is 3-4 hours. Is you momo8 heat during a web surfing? My momo8 is hot even with WiFi Off!
- Sleep mode. How discharge you battery over the night (8-10 hours)? My unit discharge about 20% (fly mode, wifi off).
- Sometimes my tablet don't awake, help only the reset hole...
- the screen is sometimes blinked! This blinking is continued during 1 minute and may repeat it several times at day.
- sometime not work the louder (but the head phones works fine).
- the back side of my unit is white and empty. No titles like "Momo8", "SN 99999999" etc... And your device?
- today burn out the charger (9V-2000mA), but this charger is not Ployer brand (just from Pandawill).

P.S. Anything about the last firmware unpacking? What say the Pandawill forum?

Sorry, was gone for a few days. I get a little warmup on the back of my pad, but not any major heat. Sure as heck not like the gpad g10 I had, it would get hot enough to cook on.
Back of the pad is plain white no labels.
I haven't discharged the battery intentionally all the way. I usually have it plugged in. The stats I gave unplugged has been during the dozen or so times I've been around town without an available outlet. At night I have it always plugged in. It never has a problem coming out of screen off (sleep mode).

The only times I've had to use the reset button was due to freezeup caused by programs.

If you ordered through Pandawill, they'll get you a new charger sent right out. I had that problem with my G10. Got the new charger in about a week and a half.

I'll drop a thread on Pandawill forum and see what I can find out about the progress on a firmware.

Thanks. It is the two main questions:
1) battery problem. Please make experiment on your Momo8: setup from Market the battery monitor app (for example, the Quick Battery) and check the battery consumption details like this:
- cell standby - ??%
- wifi - ??%
- display - ??%
- MID idle - ??%
and post this info here. OK?
2) firmware upgrade. Wait more info about new firmware unpacking. Its important. BTW, i'm also login on Pandawillforum, see my posts in the /firmware/2918/momo8 thread, there you are an admin :) .

I found the thread. I was looking over in the firmware for a8 section. I'll see about running the diagnostic app and see what it says. I'm also beginning to wonder if the speaker issue is actually firmware related. It just doesn't seem to be acting like an electrical or mechanical problem.
