12/8/11 - Rumors and from one developer who's been posting videos of Android's new released OS ICS has come to the Novo 7 Advanced Model (Note that ICS is also coming to the Basic Model as well) but this news is quite surprising as there have been other rumors of Ainol ending poroduction of the Advanced Model and just going with the Basic. The thing is though both Models are different. they both use different CPUs and GPUs

Advanced CPU: Allwinner GPU is the Mali-400 (Which beats the GC860 in most everything to 3D Rending too playing back Videos, Etc)
Basic CPU: MIPS (aka Xburst) GPU is the GC860 (a step up from the GC800) and the bad news after all is some if not most apps. won't work with a MIPS CPU due to most apps. are developed for ARM CPU which is what the Allwinner CPU is based of

but anyways here's the Link "Posted by user lordsbm" @tabletrepublic for the new released Test Build (aka development Build) v0.131 of the image of ICS for the Advanced Model (Sorry no info. about a leaked ICS File for you Basic Users)

http://www.mediafire.com/?c4hee7rllafrib4

also, lordsbm made a Script to auto install Google Market. Link is below

Things you should know first about this release:

HDMI Works
Youtube App works but Flash via Websites doesn't even if Flash is installed
some games work "haven't fully tested any yet"
Chainfire+Titanium Backup works Yay!
Netflix works

known Bugs:

Screen rotate has a white'ish/grey flicker when switching[/quote:1xa0c2ju]

Ainol is calling it just the Novo7. for the CPU it's uncomfirmed and i'm sorry for not pointing that out. i basically guessed at using the same cause both titled ARMv7 but Novo7 is Rev.2 so i thought it could of been using the same CPU. i gathered that CPU info. via the Review that was posted here

ok - confused as there was originally a novo7 that was a smaller version of the novo 8, but i was read to understand that was shelved and the nov7 with wondermedia chip (the super 1.5GHz 2160p with battery power) was powering the updated novo7 (same chip as in the new teclast P76 etc)

that first Link is the Novo7. sorry for the name confusing man (I just call it the Novo7). at one time there was a Novo7 that was a lower version model of the Novo8 Advanced but Ainol had Scrapped that Device due to maybe cost or just wasn't a good idea as the Novo8 was already doing good in sales.

again, sorry for any confusing
