2 new tabs in the 7" widescreen areana from Window

N11 - 7" 2 point resistive 800x480 (499Y --> $ 78 -> ~$110??)
N12 - 7" 5 point capacitive 800x480 (799Y --> $125 --> ~$160(?) )

could be good budget options - seems a flood, nay, a tsunami of RK2918 tabs are coming

anyway, just more options to muddy the waters

ainol would come up with more confusing names than N11 and N12.

if these were 8" the N12 would have my attention.

I would be interested in a 6 inch Window tablet if they released one with these specs.

Great, another 2 pointless low res screened crap tabs we didn't need. Why they keep churning out this garbage just completely baffles me. Why not save a whole load of time and money and just make 3 or 4 good players, 1. A small android 4.3-5 inch Pmp/tab, 2. A mid size tablet 7 inch perhaps and 3. A large 8-10 inch affair. All capacitive, all with a decent screen res. Capactive is pretty much standard now, resistive is literally a dead technology.

Then spend the rest of the wasted cash on making some decent firmware and then go hard promoting the firmware updates. I refuse to believe the Chinese public want loads of new crap hardware revisions that are the exactly the same spec as the ones before, just look slightly different. Even if window want the quick buck, spending money manufacturing a load of new crap with the same specs as their other models and loads of other equally crap models from other manufacturers won't help. Not doing it would mean they could just sell the 3/4 capacitive devices for less.

800x480 is a smart phone resolution, even on 5 inches its only just about acceptable, after that its not.

This is what the chinese market is about. Every company is going to release these 7" tablets. This is just like the way they were constantly releasing similar PMPs over a year ago. I look forward to these to see if they are improving on their existing design. I see these low cost tablets as valid because there are people who really don't want to spend $200. I think were are going to see a flood of these cheap 800x480 resolution tablets. I see where you are coming from on the screen resolution for a 7 inch tablet. The MIDnite has 800x480 and I was OK with it, but when I saw the higher resolution on the T760, I could really see the difference. I think the bulk of tablets are going to go with 800x480 because it's good enough to work at a low cost. "Good enough" seems to be the catch phrase for these devices we see on the forum. Top of the line models w/ better screens are creeping closer to main stream tablets price range and become less attrative in my opinion. To keep these cheap, they have to cut corners and you'll see it on the screen resolution.

I would consider a cheaper resistive tablet if they can just get the software to be stable. Seriously, just try to get 2.2 to run stable at the bare minimum.

They seem to be using the same body/casing of the N9 for the N12, which is a good thing as i liked the N9 casing design, very simple and sleek.

it can work yes, but its not as smooth, its down to the general resistive quality, some work better than others, but it may mean long finger nails are needed to pinch and zoom if the resistive screen sensitivity is really bad

I wish the frame widths would get slimmer. Don't want so much plastic around my screen.
