thanks for playing with the music app, looks nice ad better than on a full blown tablet, were almost at the point where we have a truly portable music player and then some
No problem mad. I was playing with both this, and my Rocktab. Of course with the bright 7" screen on the Rocktab, it's easier to see, but no where near as portable.

Amazing pictures TWP. They're almost like wallpaper......
Thanks Troy, appreciated. i was actually a little disappointed in them, lol. I had the shaky hand that night. They're usually much more crisp.

Sound quality is good, the wolfson chip helps

but try to avoid using the standard music app as it doesnt have eq options, which leaves the audio sounding a bit flat.

Damn, I didn't even know it had a Wolfson chip in it, lol. Learn something new everyday.

I watched one of Matt's clips again last night, and I noticed it stutter a bit, but remembered wifi was on. Turned it off, and smooth as silk.
Why does the wifi make a difference? I noticed it in the video review too. Is it a hardware issue, or a firmware issue? Or does no one know?

The active wifi maybe using more resources.
Btw the android music app does have eq, just found them under 'sound effects'.

I agree, just a resource hog. I noticed in Alex' video that Fruit Ninja lagged, but when he turned wifi off, flawless.

I'm a fan of PlayerPro as a music app. If I had one of these U15GT's MoboPlayer and PlayerPro would be the first two apps I'd install.
I have moboplayer downloading right now.

does it have hdmi out?
No, just a mini USB port and micro SD slot on the side of the U15GT.
I just finished watching Alex's video review of the U15GT and I think I may consider this instead of another 7" tablet. It looks pretty snappy and I'm mainly looking for something better than my old MIDnite. Performance wise, I'm just looking for a stable wifi connection, better video playback and gaming. Comparing the MIDnite to the T760, I found the MIDnite to be narrower and easier to slip into my shirt pocket even though it is a bit heavy. A smaller 5" tab like this U15GT may be easier for me to move around with.
I do love the portability of this player. It's fun, it reminds me of the old days. You know, when we all would freak out when a new MP4 player came out. It's what we all wanted back then, internet on a smallish player.

My paycheck can't come soon enough!

I can't wait to order this and maybe some Brainwavz when I get paid. Looking through this thread, I'm really impressed with the video results! The lack of HDMI is a downside, but I'll mostly be carrying this around campus so I wouldn't need TV-out anyway.
Btw, nice pics TWP!
This is a nice unit. I have noticed a few small bugs thus far. I need to start a known bug list on the first page. I have noticed, on the screen, when locked, the background flickering slightly. When you unlock it, it doesn't do it. Doesn't hurt anything really, just an observation. Also, in settings, I have the screen lock turned off, but it still locks. Again, no biggy, just an observation. Thanks for the compliment, btw.
