yeah, i think there is an app to delete pore-installed apps, andypad currently are not selling to the US, they had problems there, im sure there is a new update for this player from teclast already

Congrats on the T760 Troy, I've never had problem with what you have, maybe you have used more apps than I do.? from what i read, some of aps do cause the problems, not just for T760..for all others.
as for robot defense, it's preinstalled with T760, thats why you can't do update(it should), unless you uninstall it then reinstall from Amazon appstore.

take your time to have a look some custom roms on SLD. see if you can customize yours. I just don't have enough time to do mine atm. http://www.slatedroid.com/forum/216-teclast/

Thanks rowwor. I'm not sure if I just got a dud T760 or if i just needs a custom rom.

I tried to uninstall Robo Defense and just reinstall from Marketplace, but the tablet won't let me uninstall the app. I tried to uninstall it under Settings and also under the Manage option in the APK Installer app that came with the T760. The error message "Uninstall not sucessful" came up in response. I guess this is one of the cons of preinstalled software on these chinese tabs, Android is staying on top of the licensing. But I already paid for Robo Defense on Marketplace, so I thought I could juse update the pre installed app.

I'm going to try to see if I buy Robo Defense on Amazon Appstore, will it let me install it on my T760. That may be a work around to get an up to date version of Robo Defense.

You can't uninstall the pre-apps came with Tablet, unless you root it and have access permittion to do so.

@Troy, specifically regarding Myth Defense, never had that problem. I recently completed the campaign the second time so yes, I did waste a lot of time with it :-)

One app I suggest is an application killer (I use "Advanced Task Manager"). It does a better job than built in OS application manager. I truly wish that Android will grow into a real multitasking OS one day that will manage all this properly.

One thing I can say I liked about this T760 was the WiFi connection stayed strong the whole time. No dropping at all. I spent some time downloading over a dozen apps from Marketplace and Amazon Appstore that I had on my MIDnite.

Thanks for your tips vmajor and rowwor. I tried working w/ the T760 last night and I just found the OS to be a bit to buggy for me. I deleted my gaming apps and just looked at some utilities to see if something is going on. I like to pair up ES File Explorer and ES Task Manager. I loaded ES Task Manager to see what I could kill, but I really don't have alot of apps running in the back ground. TBH, I had more programs running on my MIDnite and didnt' have these problems. I really shouldn't have a problem w/ that Captain America Live Wallpaper, so I think this is a hardware issue w/ the GPU because it didn't have a problem on my old MIDnite. Also the touch screen is really laggy sometimes.

I think this tab may be the problem. I'm going to see if I can just return this T760 and get a different tablet.

Sorry I couldn't continue this thread and do a review on this T760. But I'm going to have to hurry up and ship this back to China before my time is up. I think I get 7 days after I get it to return the unit.

well make sure you get a request into the store as soon as possible so they have record of it

Sorry to hear that T760 didn't work out for you troy. Maybe it's due to OS version different? Froyo is running better at this point. I'm still happy with my T760 as the best one I have due to MIDnite keeps dropping the wifi signal,that puts me off to use it.

What a shame, this looked like one of the better tablets

It has been some time since I looked at purchasing an Android tablet and with all the new tablets popping up from everywhere I thought that there would have been a decent standard Android os by now and a min. spec for tablet manufacturers

Is there such a thing as a good Android tablet at the moment

As my experience with 3 OS. Gingerbread is a newer rom, but features may not as complete as Froyo.

I compare the three as an SUV, a sedan and a two-seat sport car.
An SUV can do anything as a Froyo. A sedan(Gingerbread) is common, and HC (custom roms)is like a flashy sport but is not weighted much in usage . . . lol.

I like my Gtab a lot due to custom roms on different OS. Only thing I don't like is it's awful screen, , most movies i watched on netflix are blurry, not as clear as on T760.
