Haven't heard of this issue before. When you copy and paste directly, without using MediaMonkey, does it still have this issue? I'm guessing not.
You may try to just load a few songs with MediaMonkey, and see if it still does it. Perhaps load some songs that are just in .mp3 format, and not FLAC, or just some FLAC, and not .mp3. There may just be some corrupted files.
You may try using another program to load with, at least to see if it works.
Sorry, I'm not much help here, but I haven't encountered this problem here before. Perhaps others will chime in...
BTW, welcome to the forum, glad to have you here.
On the format issue, i have a rule tehat all files above 192kbps bitrate, are converted on to mp3 192k vbr before copying. So, on the device, only have mp3 files. Also, IF i copy only the music WITHOUT album art, i don't have any problems. Then it hit me.
The device supports AlbumArt if in a tag on the mp3. Not a jpg file on the same folder (usually folder.jpg).
So, I have a bunch of covers in jpeg... and some in PNG. Can it be that the device does not support PNG in the Album Art? Is the imagefile converted from jpeg/png/bmp/whatevah to specific format or structure on the ID3 tag ?
Also, i will try SongBird and see if it works better

I only use MM to do automated cumbersome tasks

I know this issue is really difficult to debug without Ainol on our side..

But thanks for the reply

Weekend is at the doorstep, i might have more time to try and solve this puzzle

*UPDATE 20110909*
I tested as much as possible. JPEG vs PNG... i tried a (VERY) large cover (the jpeg was 18mb) making most 192kbps mp3 20+ mb.
Nothing. I'm suspecting perhaps a way to big media library, or perhaps a strange char/id3tag/other in the files...
Issue is, only with AlbumArt in the tags (does not work as folder.jpg) do i get a player crash.
Tested SongBird, no on-the-fly conversion from flac's or adding cover to id3tag... i'm lost.
Anyone know of a media organizer that beats MediaMonkey??
Also, i am willing to try a downgrade of firmware, but i only have v9000hdg_0412, which i belive is pretty old.
Anyone knows where can i find a more recent one ?
