I managed to install the Windows 7 amd_x64 RK29 USB drivers, but that's as far as I got.

...I cannot get the Teclast "Device Manager" to start properly. On load it reports "Loading config file failed!". Clicking OK allows the application to start, but selecting the T760 firmware file results in the application crash. I cannot find a way around this. The bundled "Device Manager" is V1.3

Yes, my Win 7 has problems with opening Chinese name files. It can display the file name correctly, but for example when I try to open the .chm file an error pops up saying that it cannot open file ????????.chm.

This language barrier cannot be fixed with a MS LIP. I installed simplified Chinese, but no joy. I am at a loss what to try next. Can anyone explain to Teclast that they may want to release a version with non-chinese character set file names, or (I think) use current system calls for file requests?

OK flashed. Still fresh so the only feedback I can give is that the Market app is new.

How I managed to flash with official 2.03 fw:

I used the loader from the rooted fw link on Slatedroid that rowwor provided with the official firmware. It worked.

The device reset, went through formatting, hung. One reset later, it booted and we all (me) rejoiced. Will now spend 34515 hours restoring all the apps and setting up the home screens...will also provide updated Quadrant benchmark...sec, let me do it now. Same 1269 whatnots.

Max. freq is still set at 1008 MHz so I would nto expect any more. The bogomips almost doubled, but that does not seem to translate to an increase in performance within the Quadrant benchmark. There may be situations in actual use where there may be increased performance.

...problem with market. All downloaded apps are missing. Will hopefully find some way to get them back, especially the paid ones, which curiously cannot even be located manually by searching the market...

You may need the market app fix that many tablets need before marketplace starts to behave properly.

...yea, or Teclast to get their firmware approved by Google, or to pretend that it is some other device, or even the original V2.0 firmware. That one had full market access.

Thanks for testing V. So now you have successful installed the custom FW? How do you like it? apart from apps missing? Which FW do you prefer?

I should get mine today, and I'll need couple of days play with it before I try out those FW. So I'll know the difference.

I cannot tell any difference and so far V2.0 provided a better user experience, mainly due to the Market being fully functional and for being able to change the default keyboard without a FC of the currently set default keyboard (Chinese) and resulting failure to save the default keyboard state. Now every time I need to write something I need to do the stupid "Select input method" and fish for another keyboard.

Quadrant also reports that Min freq is also 1008 MHz which is odd and I hope that it does not impact the battery life.

One benefit that I just remembered was that the device now shows two storage locations. Both the internal 8Gb and TF card are available to the user at the same time. You can leave the TF mounted and still access content on internal storage.

Overall the V2.03 feels like an intermediate step towards something better.
