I guess Gemei is making a come back, at least in marketing.

I remember they had some prototype Android device last year which i think was running on a Chinachip processor.

Its not exactly the nicest looking tablet.

this one is running the CC chip, cc1900 .. or something like that, TBH i hope they have done a better job on this than their last line of players that were based on CC code .. not to impressive really

Their last line of players was pretty bad, i don't know how their domestic sales were last year, but it seemed their real cash cow was the Dingoo range of players.

I hope this is a decent tablet and the CC1900 is good, its not like the CC chips performed bad they just were never well utilized.

I love my Gemei A330. The quality is amazing, everything works great. I'd love to buy a China tab with the level of quality the A330 has, but this is kind of a bad product in terms of specs.
The points that kill this one are the CC1900
First of all, this is billed as a 1.2ghz processor, but China Chip lists it at 800mhz. That's always a little fishy to me. It's probably a decent quality chip though judging by the power of the chip in the A330, but it's an unknown. I wish they would have used a TI, Rockchip, or Samsung processor in these. Second, it's arm11? No flash support from what I hear.
Resistive touch screen
I hate the things. At least it's multitouch
Price point
Best price I could find was $185.99

I wasn't a fan of the CC1900 either, it just paled in comparison to the SC9800. I'm not very knowledgable about the specifics of PMP hardware, but the last batch of Gemei players were less attractive to me than Ainol, Cube and Onda. I just recently looked through their devices and nothing stands out other than their Dingoo player A330.

One thing I give Gemei credit for is trying to use CC1900 to offer gaming emulation on regular PMPs. Also they offered a better ebook reader with more formats. However it still lacked word wrap.

I'm not going to be interested in any Android tablet running on a CC1900 chipset until I read some good reviews from buyers using them in the real world.
