I think we saw this tablet at the fair as the rockchip reps were bragging that the tablet would retail for under rmb$300. I think this is set to use the rk2919 chip.

I agreed, When I had conversation with Teclast guy about T51. They said, RK2818 is old, they are moving on.

It did seem like everyone was dropping the rk2818 and everyone had updated rk2919 devices, which to me speaks that the rkk2919 chip is probably costing the same as the rk2818 chips did.

Hmm looks interesting, how large is this I wonder? Still think it would be nice to have a really pocketable 4 inch android device to mess with. Thing is though these cortex A8 chips sound ok on paper but you need a pretty hefty gpu to handle proper full screen flash playback. So far the Telechips in the SmartQ 10 and possibly the Samsung SPV210 seem like the only chips we have seen that are vaguely capable.

well trockchip claim then 2919 to have full on GPU unit - cant remember the specifics - but rockchip are prone to over-exaggeration

If its the same we saw then it was either 4.3 or 5"screen, Hugo will be able to confirm which it was, but the screen was 800x480 resolution on the unit we played with.

*Amlogic in SmartQ 10 even*

Cool, can't imagine at that price the screen would be capacitive though?

No, I believe it won't as there is no wifi built in as it's just a mp4 player and android 2.3 built in to let you have abilities to play games that supported by 2.3..etc.
