S:Flo2 won't charge

After waiting 2 months for my S:Flo2 to come in the mail I finally received it Tuesday. I was thrilled. It sounded amazing even though I didn't like the UI, but regardless of the UI the player sounds GOOD. Well, it died last night and hasn't come back on since. I had it charging all yesterday and when I took it off the charger the player still had low battery. I am jinxed? Has anyone else had this problem?

for a start how are you charging the player - PC or included charger and when charging was the screen on all the time or did it go off

Hi,

A couple of things to try if you are connecting via USB to charge the S:flo2.

1. Change USB cable. The one in the box is pretty awful, in my case it didn't work from new. From these forums a lot of people have problems with the supplied cable so best to change it for a decent one.

2. Use 'Remove Hardware' and remove the drive(s) after plugging the S:flo2 into the computer. You should then see the charging icon appear on the S:flo2 screen.

I am having the same problem.

S:flo2 arrived yesterday. Plugged in headphones and played around, transfered some music and listened to it for an hour or so. Then it just turned itself off.

Tried to charge it with the USB cable and plug socket but that did not seem to charge the battery. It shows the 'CHARGING -CHARGE COMPLETE' screen for a few seconds then turns off. It is not possible to turn it on again unless I remove the cable and reinsert it.

Tried a different cable (a phone charger for a mobile phone). Same problem.

Currently trying the long way of charging via the computer with the supplied USB cable. I can use the player while it is in this state as I have selected REMOVE HARDWARE. It remains to be seen if I leave it connected to the PC for long periods of time whether it will take any charge at all. When I tried for an hour or so it hadn't taken any charge at all. The cable seems to work because I was able to transfer music onto the device.

If it's first time to charge it. I"ll suggest you leave on charge at least 8 hours, especially charge on PC.

I have already left it charging overnight.

well, after you safely removed the hardware, it should goes to charging mode, but that doesn't help much for charging if it's in use.

I only used it once or twice to see if it worked. It hasn't been in constant use.

did you use included charger?
what power is the plug charger you were trying to use
the included charger is 1.5A, lower power mains sockets may not be able to power the player enough and can cause problems

I was using the included charger.

The label on the mobile phone charger I tried says:

100-240v~50/60Hz
0.15A
