How To Root The Rocktab

A little confused myself.

Do you know if rocktab is nand unlocked? Busy box states that the reason busy box won't install is because "device is either not nand unlocked or we we unable to remount". Need 1000 kb free to install.

all that means is you need 1000k to install do you have that?

I have 208 MB free internal memory

Ahem.... I will look into this........ there is a new rooter out there called z4root. Take a read on it.

Does z4root work on 1.5? I didn't think it did, but I could be wrong.

I was thinking I tried that one, when trying to root, and it was a no go. Perhaps I had another version of it.

I will be rooting again once I have done a fw upgrade, I would try rooting with this method when we are sure it works for rocktab. Will rooting this way "hold" after turning rocktab off and on? The one posted here doesn't stay on and I have to click Univeral Android app each time and click soft root and the GO ROOT. I really don't mind doing it this way, but sometimes I forget and have to stop what I'm trying to install in market and then do root.

I don't understand why the method I posted doesn't work on your player. If a player is rooted, it stays rooted when you turn your player off and on. The one posted here works perfectly. Not sure what the problem is.
