Perhaps I'm mistaken, but from what I've read on other threads, the Rockpad functions best with the 1.5 and upgrading to 2.1 causes too much stress on the unit. Is that true? Hardly worth it just for the Skype option.

If not, then I guess upgrading is a good option. What do other thinks about this?

2.1 runs well. the FW needs a little bit more work but it is pretty dang good. I am not promising that it can handle the app skype, but it might. you never know.

I am surprised (but pleased) to hear that the Rocktab does handle 2.1 decently well.

This is not ment to be offensive but....
If 2.1 is running so well, why are you running the experia 1.5 on your Rocktab? (according to your signature)

Because I mainly use my rocktab for school, and 2.1 is not usb host ready yet, trust me as soon as it is it willbe on 2.1. I am doing all the different fw's so people have a review of them so I can help them make their own decision without having to change it all the time. I run 2.1 as much as I can, but I need my keyboard if I am going to use it for school.
