S:Flo2 IEM Problems

Today I got my S:Flo, and was very happy. I plug my big headphones in and loved the SQ, I thought it was great. Later I decided to take a walk, so I pluged in my IEMs (Super Fi. 5 vi) and turned the music on, but it sounded horrible. The vocals were completely gone, and the rest of the music sound extremely bad. I checked all the settings and messed with the volume. nothing. I even tested them on my laptop, and everything sounded fine. The main reason I bought the S:Flo was to have a portable, decent sounding player. Is there any way to fix this? thanks.

Did you plug them in correctly?Otherwise,try a reset of the player.

very odd
what happens when you plug in the big headphones again, is the sound OK or are you saying that no matter what you use the sound is now bad through any phones
are you using the LO or HO socket?

the SuperFi5 vi have a microphone, haven´t they?
Maybe (but only a suggestion) the Sflo sockets only work with normal stereo-jacks

good point ..

and i am sure i have seen this elsewhere with regards to this as i remember looking at the super FI site and seeing ones with and without microphones, i remember reading that many mp3 players could not cope with the microphone portion of these phones, for eg the samsung ypr1 and a few more ... so yes, looks like the microphone portion of these units is the problem

If the earphones have a mic then they will not work properly on the S:Flo2.

Thanks everyone, I figured out a simple fix. If you use a double jack (The ones that allow you to connect 2 sets of headphones/IEMs) The microphoned earbuds will work. this is because the wire will not recognize the mic because its only made for speakers. notice that normal headphones have 2 lines on the male end jack? meaning sound goes to the right speaker and left. mine has 3, 1 going to the mic. thanks again everyone.
