Yes, you will notice a difference between any over-the-ear and any in-the-ear headphone. There is really no point in comparing the two as they are completely different beasts. The M3 will deliver a similar quality of experience, but it will not be the same experience. Can you be more specific about what in the specifications is confusing to you?

Hi, first of all thank you for the answer, Is true that they dont fit in the same category and I know that there is going to be a difference between a over-the-ear and in-the-ear headphone, but in a general aspect, which one sounds better, I mean, would i have a better experience with the M3? or at the end is going to be a matter of confort and preference betwen In-the-ear-H and Over-the-ear H, no difference about the sound quality at least on paper?

About the specificatioins i Just want to knopw what means what, ehwn they talk about frencuency, or impedance etc... and what values make a headphone better or worst... In any case not just in this case !! (Just to know for future purshace what should i read in the box)

:D

I will read it, thank you very much.

Maby you could tell me if the sound is better overall or if is just a matter of taste and confort.

The HD202 are bass heavy so if you want a similar sound but better I'd go for the M2 instead of the M3. But then again I don't own the M3s. (But i do own the M2s and I listen to the HD202 all the time at work)

This is comparing apples to oranges. The Sennheiser HD 202's are an entry level over-the-ear that emphasize bass performance. That said, an over the ear is going to have a much larger driver than any in ear, so it's easier to make an over-the-ear sound great, while it takes a lot more work and higher cost materials to reproduce a similar experience in an IEM. If you prefer a bass colored sound, I would probably go with the M2's. For more accurate reproduction, I would go for the M3's. In either case, you're probably making a small trade in the size of the sound stage by giving up over the ears, but you're getting back big time in portability (since the HD 202's can't be folded).
