What is the largest size card that the MidNite can access and fully usea? MP4Nation spec says 16GB but then noted someone on forum said they were using a 32GB card??

16GB for sure, but haven't seen anyone tried on 32GB yet.

I noted on the post in firmware - 1208 - that ngjef stated he had loaded new firmware from a 32Gb card? Hence my query.

It can probably handle 32GB fine. In theory if a device can handle SDHC then it can handle any memory size of SDHC, but as 32GB cards are only now available we can only now get hard confirmations that devices can use them.

I have looked into 32gb microSD cards, but they still cost around $100 for class 4. Don't touch anything on ebay---almost all of them are fake. It still a much better deal just to get 2 16gb cards--even if it is a little less convenient.

Thank you all. I will go for 16GB. As commented above - 32GB is more than triple the price.

Back in October, I bought a Sandisk 32GB microSD on ebay, from seller "tostada123," based in the U.S. Price:
$69.99 at that time (haven't checked on prices today--may be lower).

Anyway: NOT a fake card. Full 32GB, ful sealed retail packaging. Works great on my OS-72HR--with the 16GB internal and the 32GB SDHC, I've got 40 Divx movies, ~250 mp3 full albums, and several hundred ebooks loaded.

The Sandisk is not as fast as the Kingston (although Sandisk has now announced faster, competitive cards), but it works fine for the OS-72HR, as it's relatively slow anyway.

Anyway, the guy's real name is Ryan Giesel, in Rockford, IL, and he's got 100% positive FB on ebay, and a huge number of sales over several years. So: not ALL ebay sellers are selling fakes!

Just FYI.

Peace,

Will

I purchased a 32GB Sandisk Micro SD on ebay - I do not believe it was legitimately a Sandisk, however I can access all 32GB with no problems on my PC. My MID does not recognise all 32GB. I tried several different formatting tools and then even tried just creating a 16GB partition and none worked. The MID would definitely TRY to use the card, but just couldn't see some (probably half) of the files. I have chosen to use a 16GB card which works fine.
