Why do I keep getting SERVER CONNECTION TIMEOUT, 80% of the time, when I try to play the songs that I search for. Sometimes it surprises me when I get the song I searched for and the sound is great coming from the exterior speaker and good with the headphones that came with it. I had all these music files in my computer from good ole Limewire and they totally disappeared from my computer after they shut down. I'll try getting some music onto my sd card and see if the file will show up in the audio player. I did get Tiny Player app and will probably use it for my music files. I even reset my modem (always fun) to see if that would make a difference.

I click on Audio Player, I type in Elvis and search. That's when the server connection timeout box appears and won't open the page with the songs listed. It opened songs tonight, but many times it won't. I'm sure this is streaming music. Is Music Wizard OK to use with the Rocktab? I'm not too concerned about this. I do need to get some music onto my sd card. The problem is probably the website that the music is streaming from.

I just tried it on mine. I actually did a search for Elvis, as you did. It seems some songs play, and some get the "timeout" pop up. Could be as you say, the site it's streaming from. I personally have never even used this function until now. I know I'm not a big help here, but just to let you know I'm experiencing the same problems.

Merry Christmas! I will keep playing and give you an update. I have several of my photos in photo browser from sd card and a Jim Carrey movie to watch in video player, so my sd is recognized....and yes the 3 screws are still out and my other card is still lost in space. The trackball is great. I hate when you are in the settings screen and you have to scroll without the trackball. I always open the wrong thing. Having fun...I am too protective of it right now to give it to a computer illiterate person for Christmas. My husband and son do not have any patience for hunting and pecking on electronics. They would have it crashed in less that 5 minutes. They need to use something really expensive that does all your thinking for you.

I am so excited. I actually figured out (after converting to mp3) how to get my favorite music into my Rocktab for FREE. The headphones that came with the Rocktab sound good. I guess they are probably really cheap ones, but fine for me. Wonder what real nice headphones would sound like? Still hiding from the family. Only hands going on this device are mine. If it screws up, I'll know what I did last...Having a ball!!!

Good to see you're enjoying your new toy greentechie. I'm really enjoying it as well.

I have had good luck long pressing on these tracks (those that give this error) and selecting 'download' many of them will save locally and you can play them from your Rocktab then delete them when you're done.

That works great! Thank you for explaining the long press. Never would have figured that out on my own.

You're most welcome, I have been helped along mightily by all the folks here before my Rocktab even arrived, feels good to be able to contribute in any small way. :D
