I have a feeling that this one will require some serious prying from my hands, lol.I will finally be able to run all the high octane apps I've had to hold off on with the Rocktab...man its gonna be fun!! The Rocktab is great at the basics...I'm just not much of a basics kinda guy!

eh, don't be too surprised if you still find playing games on this a hit or miss, the hardware maybe more powerful, but the implementation of Android is not as good as is on the Rocktab, therefore causing performance issues.

I don't have anything to compare it to, but I'm really impressed with the Rocktab. Works very well, even if it is more limited on apps. The dev at Slatedroid is very impressed with the Rocktab. He said it's very well implemented.

TBH you can use the comment on hit or miss with apps with most Android tablets out there, this includes big brand name ones. This is a problem with Android right now, there isn't much conformity, but it will probably improve as Android gets more popular, its like when the home PC started taking off.

That is totaly understood, most of these apps werent developed with tablets in mind...but I still think that most of the apps I want to use will work just fine with the Telepad...I checked out a ton of videos showing off some of the better features that Telechips tablets have, and I dont think I'll be too disappointed :)

EDIT: I was wrong...I'm quite dissapointed with the Telepad at this point, lousy battery life and poor performance speak volumes about it.Maybe a future rom will help this out,but for now,I'm glad I have my Rocktab........sorry,Raz,its a lemon, dude.

Thanks for the honest comments on this MID D2K. Christmas is coming up fast and I have a brother who is shamefully hinting at wanting a MID for a gift. I was thinking about either a 7" Telepad or the MIDnite. Or maybe on of the smaller 5" PMP/MID that I've seen that are have a dual boot PMP or Android OS.

I really appreciate you taking the time to go over these units and give us your opinions.

the T11 pro - interesting device, would need to see some real world results from it, but its not an MID, no wifi alot of the smaller 5" ones about at the moment are mainly just PMP with android, apart from the W7 i cant think of any full on small screen MID (from chinese companies i mean) - have you looked at the smaller screen range of archos device

Thanks maderin1, I'll take this discussion over to the T11pro thread. I have some questions I'd like to ask you about it.

Hello all, first post on the site. Just awaiting one of the 10" Telepads. Pretty anxious to see how it performs. I will be the ultimate NEWB with this device as I basically know very little about Android based devices, however I am looking forward to learning. I ordered mine just before D2K got his in so I definately have been lurking the posts to find out his first impresions. Started to get a little nervous in reading some of his initial comments, however, once I saw his video review I was quite impressed with the tablet! By the way, good video review D2K. Looks like it will do for exactly what I want it for: couch side device for the occasional quick browse on the web to look something up, occasional casual games (there cirtainly are a lot of them throughout the web for android), and viewing photo galleries on online sites like Smugmug. Looks like you have got a very helpful community of people here, hopefully I will be able to contribute ... at least from a newbs point of view.
